Chapter 46: Reveal

After the room cleared and I was able to breathe clearly I slowly sat up. Crystal hands me a glass of water. Everyone is looking at me with both concern and fear.

“Alexis, we need to talk about this.” Crystal states.

I gulp.

I don’t think I can talk about this.

“First I want to say we were just going on a simple self exploration journey. I’ve never seen anyone experience this. BUT I also have never had this journey with someone who has visions in their sleep, AND be a major part of the future.” Crystal adds and took a drink of her water.

“What do you mean by a major part of the future? Future of what?” My dad asks. I could tell he was worried and stressed.

“That is not for me to say. The cards will reveal themselves in time. One thing about the future.. Sometimes it’s important to know that it’s not always good to share it ahead of schedule.. This though…” she pauses and looks at me with the same look of fear and worry as she did before.. Thdn looks at my dad and continues, “This may need to be brought up ahead of schedule. Even if it’s just part of it...” She goes back to looking at me. I couldn’t tell if the look I was getting was one of pity or of fear, or both.

“What did you see Lex?” Caitlyn asks holding my hands.

I look at my dad and Isabella, then Caitlyn, and then Crystal who nods her head. “It was dark… Nothing to be seen. I couldn’t find anything to make it light. I started to hear a peaceful humming. So I followed it. Once closer I saw a light near the person. But as I got closer the peaceful humming changed to a sinister sound. I froze and the person turned around slowly. It was me.. I think.? But she was definitely evil. Her eyes were pitch black and her evil smile still makes me tremble..” I stop and shutter at the thought. How? How could that be me?

“Alexis I know you think this means that she is you. Since this was a self exploring journey, but it does not. You can also see the future. I think this was a way of saying tread lightly. Because that person COULD be you… Your soul is pure, I can see it and feel it. What you felt and saw, was the version of you that you could turn into if you make the wrong choices. I think this also shows the black eyes were from an evil being… Since you saw yourself with black eyes. When you had the black eyes you were angry. What were you so mad about?” Crystal explains and then asks curiously.

“Uh..” I look at my dad and hesitated. “I don’t want to get anyone in trouble...” I say looking down at the ground.

“Alexis, please let us in. What caused you such anger?” Isabella asks as she sits on the ground next to me, putting her hand on my shoulder.

I look at my dad and he nods in agreement.

“Gentri had told me that Eric has some not so pure intentions towards me… He also called me weak, vulnerable.. .” I say annoyed and embarrassed as I am cut off.

“WHAT INTENTIONS?” My dad roared.

Isabella was aiming to calm him down.

“This is why I was worried about talking about it. See how he is reacting? And he doesn’t even know the details of it all..” I pause. Tears in my eyes. “I didn’t even get into the details that caused me to get so angry.” I say defeated putting my face in my hands.

“Alexis, I’m so sorry. I had agreed it was important to let us in, and then I got mad. I’m sorry. I’m just protective of you both..” he says comforting me as he rubs my back.

“Alexis, could you please explain everything you were told? I am trying to see the full picture.” Crystal asks.

I look at my dad and he says, “please.”

I swallow the fear and continued, “Gentri had told me he has a running bet on when he could take my virginity. He said that originally Eric had planned to try to take both Caitlyn and my virginities. It is a game to him.. But one day he was talking about it and Maverick overheard the part of Caitlyn. Maverick threatened him. So he decided to double down on me. He said he was going to act like my friend until my walls broke down, and then take my virginity. He also said I was weak and vulnerable making this game easier.” I finish and was embarrassed and was looking at the ground. I could hear my dad AND Isabella both softly growling behind me. s**t.

Caitlyn squeezed my hand, “You didn’t do anything wrong. They are mad that someone was trying to take advantage of you… You are no where near weak. He is a moron! Now I see why you haven’t been around him the last couple of days… Trash!” She states disgusted.

“We need to do something about him!” My dad says angrily.

“No. No we do not. I am not longer his friend. Now if he were to actually do something to ANYONE, then we do something. Him saying stupid s**t isn’t a reason to do anything, yet. We just need to have extra eyes on him. Because if he thinks this about me, he probably think he can take advantage of any woman he feels is ‘vulnerable’. But he could also just be doing the whole locker room talk trying to seem cool… We should just have him watched for a while.” I state.

Everyone was silent but nod in agreement.

I look at Crystal and see a smile appear on her face. “There is that pure and powerful soul I have seen.” She states proudly, making me smile big. “Now that the show is over, can I please talk to Alexis alone?” She asks.

“Yes, but I’m waiting on the back deck. I will have a few workers take the girls’ stuff to the car. Once you are done we need to get ready to leave for the cabin.” My dad states promptly. He then kisses the top of my head and gets up. Isabella gently rubs my shoulder and walked over to my dad. Caitlyn hugs me tightly and gets up.

After they were all gone, Crystal just looks deep into my eyes again.

“So Alexis. We have A LOT to discuss, and only l a short amount of time. So let’s just cut straight to the chase. I can feel your wolf, I know she is here with you.” She states bluntly, cutting straight to the point.

I nod.

“Very well. I can also tell she is one of the more powerful wolves that I have encountered, do you mind if I talk with her?” She asks curiously.

“Uh, as long as she’s ok with it.” I say shrugging.

I feel her push forward, taking control of everything.

“Hello, my name is Nala, it is a pleasure to meet you Crystal. I have heard many things about you over my lifetime. I am privileged to watch you work with Alexis.” Nala says kindly.

It was weird hearing her voice come out of my body, and not in my head. Well except in the dream land with Selene the one day, but that wasn’t her talking through me like I’m a speaker or something..

“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well Nala. I have heard of you, it is an honor to be in the same room with you. Why have you graced Alexis? And why so early? I have known she is part of the prophecy, but it still doesn’t make sense to me.” she says clearly in thought

“Yes. Alexis is part of the prophecy. She is becoming a strong woman. She will become a powerful witch and needs an equally powerful wolf, which is why Selene paired us. Selene is worried as she sees two paths for Alexis. One good, one evil. She sent me here early to help guide her. I am here merely as a mentor until she turns 18 next year.” Nala replies informing Crystal of what she can say. I could feel the power radiating off of her.

“Yes. That does make sense. Is there anything more you can tell me?” Crystal asks curiously.

“Unfortunately there is not. It all lies in the hands of Alexis. She is the key to the unknown fate. She is the prophecy. She is the future. Her choices are hers to make, and those choices will determine the path.” Nala states and pushes back letting me regain control.

Crystal looks amazed and stunned. She turns around and starts digging in her bag. Out she pulled a chunky silver ring with a black rock in it. She turns back to face me. She grabbed my hand and slips the ring on my pointer finger on my left hand. “This rock is Black Tourmaline. Black Tourmaline is a powerful protector. It can help absorb negative energies, helping create a safe environment. Please wear this.” She begged still holding my hand. “Between everything I’ve seen and what your wolf has told me, you need all the extra protection you can get... You are one of the few with such a pure soul, we need to help keep it that way. Next class we will work on breathing exercises to help keep you from any more anger breakdowns… Please just be careful.” She pleads and then stands up and helps me get up.

“Also I know you are trying to keep her a secret, but can’t you just have her speed up the healing a little? You could always just say you used magic to help heal faster.” She shrugs. Hmm…

“Thank you, for everything Crystal. I appreciate you and everything you have done for us!” I say to her.

She smiles and then leads me to the door.

“Goodbye girls. Be safe. Good luck tonight Caitlyn.” she says and then was gone..

I look at Caitlyn and she looks confused and also worried.
