Aurora pov

"Am bored," Kat complains, she hates doing nothing.

“Let’s go in our game room. We can play video games, pool, dart, loud music, and here’s the cherry on top, no pack members,” it’s Nik's favorite place in the packhouse, we are the only ones allowed there. My father made it for us, it’s very nice and it’s soundproof. We do all sorts of crazy stuff in there.

“Nah, not now…I want to do something dangerous," I smirk, Katalya arches an eyebrow knowing well what am thinking.

“No, we are not leaving the Territory, remember what happened we left? A war almost broke out!" She says frightened.

“But I want to go, maybe I can see him once again,” I smile as I think about what happened last time we snuck out of our territory. Whether he is real or not, that boy is my first crush and love. My therapist says he is someone I created bla bla bla, I wasn't listening to him that day.

Flashback

“Am tired of playing,” Kat says in a bored tone, throwing her controllers away, I sighed as I sit on the white couch next to her.

“let's leave the pack grounds, we’ll be back before anyone notices we are gone,” I tell my cousins in a daring tone, all I have to do is push hard and they’ll do it.

“Dad will get mad at us, come on,” Nik tried to reason at first but after pressing he agrees to go too, as soon as I told him we are going to black moon territory, he simply says NO and left me with Kat but I always get what I want. I try to persuade Kat, I do a happy dance when she sighs in defeat.

We sneak around and wait at the border, well, eight-year-old me is pretty persistent and gets upset if she doesn't get what she wants.

Finally, we got in the black moon territory, my Cousin objected since the silver-blue moon and the black moon didn’t like each other……. Especially my father and their Alpha, I don’t know why.

“ Princess, I think we should go back now,” she says with a worried expression on her face but I am not having it, I just want to see.

“We’ll leave soon, am sure nobody will notice us in their territory,” she agrees when I suggest musking our scents as we were taught in training. Soon we forget everything and start to have fun. We play tag through the streets. At some point eat ice cream.

“Aurora, I’ll wait for you here am tired but come soon,” I nod, leaving my cousin near the border, she just wants more ice cream!

I start walking around and just being silly, it’s the first time I’ve left my territory alone and that too without guards but while goofing around, a boy crying pushes me and runs in a hurry. I hurt my arm and it’s bleeding badly. I hate blood, I feel tears stream down my face.

“You're not from here, who are you and what do you want? Alone,” through blurry eyes, I see a boy, he’s tall and has beautiful dark-grey eyes, they look scary but am not afraid, am more worried about the cut in my arm.

His face softens then turns to a frown as his eyes land on my injured arm, he gets on one knee and starts to inspect it.

“What’s your name?" he asks in a soft voice

But I shake my head

“Okay, let’s go where they can bandage it," I shake my head no once more, what if they call my father or worse someone finds out am the Alpha’s daughter of the silver-blue moon clan, dad said no one can know that.

“No to everything, huh," he sighs looking confused. " Okay, wait here ok? I’ll be back,” he leaves and after a few minutes comes back with a bandage, wrapping it around my injured arm nicely, I watch as he does gently, he’s very cute. I blush and look away

“Thank you,” I whisper, he looks at me a little bit surprised, he must have thought I was mute.

I feel so tired from crying too much, my eyes feel heavy. He takes my hand and leads me to sit on a bench, we sit there in silence for a while. It’s a beautiful sight the see, the water fountain surrounded by green grass, I am doing the talking now and he isn’t much of a talker.

“What’s your name princess?” he asks, should I tell him? he did help me clean and bandage my wound.

“Princess?”

“Hmm, you look like one,” I blush, he does look like a prince

“Will you be my prince? No or my knight in shining armor like the movies! since you helped me,” I ask happily but he shakes his head, I frown a little disappointed but after moments of silence he speaks

“I will be your god of war, the one who will bring the war to the people who hurt you,” he says sternly and points at my arm. I smile

" Ares," I say happily, he nods with a small smile too.

We walk around the park and my Ares holds my hand the whole time. I see the prettiest flower, tulips, I love them, my mother told me all about them and their different meaning, their smell is wonderful.

I keep looking at them until my eyes wander to look at their clan, it is beautiful too, just like ours, with skyscrapers, nice cars, and clean streets.

“Let’s play three games if I win, you will tell me your name,” He says, I think for a while, well I'm a good gamer, so I accept.

We go to a cafe and find a perfect booth for us. The workers bow upon seeing Ares before escorting us to our seats. We order milkshakes and, he puts different types of games on the table.

snakes and ladders, scramble, and Chase. I know how to play because we play games all the time.

" For you, princess," he gives me a bouquet.

“Tulips! My favorite,” I smile, they are in different colors red, white, yellow, and purple.

“Thank you, Ares,” I say in a shy voice, looking down at the pretty flowers. Did he see me admire them? A boy has never given me flowers before, well, only my siblings when I win a pageant.

After what seemed like forever playing games and puzzles, I realize Kat is waiting for me. I forgot because I was having so much fun! My father has probably sent his men to look for us. I start to panic.

“I have to go, now,” he ignores me and touches my hair, putting it between his fingers.

“Your hair is gold and eyes are blue-green, beautiful,” he smiles softly, I blush too much as he leads me back to the bench, this time our fingers entwined together.

“Thanks and the name is Aurora,” I tell him as we stop by the bench we once. He

kisses my cheek, and I'm freaking out right now! my cheeks are burning and I can feel my heart beating fast, I am so happy, my first kiss with a boy I like.

" Aurora," he whispers, like testing out my name. "You're most welcome, my princess," We hear noises behind the buildings, he mumbles something under his breath looking worried.

“That’s my little brother and friends. Wait here, I’ll check up on them before they get into trouble,” he whispers the last part as he gets up with a frown.

"Don't leave," he says again, pointing his index finger at me

Oh no, Kat! I have to go but he said to wait but my cousin decides to come here instead, she is panting hard and drips of sweat on her forehead.

“We are in trouble…let’s go now! There are a lot of warriors at the border, I ran here. They think something bad has happened,” Kat grabs my wrist, taking me away but I keep looking back, will I ever see him again? what if I never see him again?

Indeed, when I reach the border my father runs to us, pulling me in an embrace, I see Silas among the group, most of them in wolf form, oh boy am in trouble.

End of flashback

“No,” says Nikolas, crossing his arms. He's so protective, gosh, we were young when we snuck into the black territory but he still blames himself.

We are all grown up now, and I don’t even remember very well. Did it even happen or was it a dream?

Whatever I let it go, I need some air so I run to the waterfalls, I watch the water from here, this place gives me peace, the huge shiny rocks underneath are mesmerizing and it's quiet, just the sound of water, I can see the rainbow behind it, Its always there.

I groan opening my eyes, I fell asleep again, lazily I start to go back slowly, the sun is almost setting and looks perfect.

" Hello," I slowly turn my head to the side, beta John, I don’t like how he's looking at me with a silly grin on his face, I back away slowly as he approaches until my back is against a tree, his arms cage me, John comes close, taking in my scent and touching me, I try to push him away, I hate his hands on my body, I feel so disgusted, this crap is harassing me! I struggle against him

“So perfect, “ he whispers, touching my face, he is so close, I can feel his disgusting breath on my neck, my whole body starts to shake, so does everything around me, John takes a step back looking around warily, a glint fear in his eyes, I take this opportunity to knee him where the sun doesn't shine and leave. I feel people around me, following me.

"AURORA, RUN," john shouts.

I have been running for some time now, and heavy steps following me closely, I am so glad I wasn't in the packhouse, what if they are the very people who attacked us at the beach house? they could hurt everyone including Nik and Kat.

I run faster, I want to cry but no tears seem to come out, I feel so much anger and all I am thinking about is my little brother, will I see him again? What if I die, will Nik take care of Jeremy?

Still running, I come to a halt as a few men in what looks like a military uniform surround me, they are all carrying big weapons. All pointing them at me, I turn behind only to see more. A fearful shiver runs through me.

They don't smell like wolves, they are humans.

Who are they?

Are they here for me? And if yes, why?

My wolf is agitated, I can feel her panic, she wants us to shift but I don't, suddenly I feel a prick in my neck, and darkness surrounds me
