28 The seventeenth-century Bazeos Tower on the road between Chora and Halki was a beautiful venue for an art exhibition. Naxos, an island which valued the arts extremely highly, had transformed many of its ancient and atmospheric buildings into cultural centres, none more stunning than this one.
