Chapter Nine By the time Tommy caught up, Ann was using a key to open the security door. They crowded down the narrow hall and into the elevator. Tommy was still trying to gain control of her lungs and, with chest heaving, she managed: “Fifteenth floor. To the right at the end of the hall.” Then she reached down and unbuckled her sandals. The elevator door silently opened and the three of them streamed out, the heavy broadloom muffling their footsteps. Tommy was pointing out the doorway with one hand and reaching for her gun with the other. Ann dropped to her knees in front of the lock, and, inserting the second key on her ring; she watched as Tommy withdrew the Beretta Tomcat. “You won't even scare them with that thing,” Ann whispered. “Here, take this.” She pressed her Orbis MGV-176 SM
