Garrett marveled slightly that the physical charms of the heroine of this novel obviously meant for women were portrayed with as leering care as the daunting torso of her over-muscled suitor. Yes, of course the protagonist would be female, and of course she would be good-looking, but how odd it was to have showcased those big beautiful breasts so on the cover of a book meant to appeal to heterosexual women. The character’s dress did not have to be scooped so deeply, after all. The artist easily could have painted her in a garment with less cleavage. But no, those big succulent jugs wobbled in the revealing top of that lacy gown for all to see.
