Chapter Forty-Nine: The Eclipse Unleashed
Elara's POV
Silence.
The battlefield stood frozen.
Thousands of wolves.
Hundreds of vampires.
The Hollow Court.
Every eye was fixed on me.
The silver and crimson aura surrounding my body danced like living fire.
I could feel every heartbeat around me.
Every breath.
Every drop of blood flowing through the battlefield.
It was overwhelming.
Lunara stepped beside me within my soul.
"Breathe."
Vespera smiled gently.
"Don't fight the power."
"Become one with it."
I took one slow breath.
The raging energy settled.
Not completely...
Just enough.
---
The beast roared.
It charged straight toward me.
Each step shook the earth.
"ELARA!"
Draven's voice echoed across the valley.
I didn't move.
Not because I was afraid.
Because...
I knew exactly where it would strike.
The beast swung its massive claw.
My body reacted before my mind.
I vanished.
The claw smashed into empty ground.
The monster froze.
Confused.
"So fast..."
One Hollow Court warrior whispered.
I stood behind the beast.
Even I didn't know how I'd gotten there.
Vespera laughed.
"Vampire speed."
Lunara grinned.
"Wolf instinct."
"Eclipse balance."
The beast spun around.
It roared again.
This time...
It attacked with both claws.
Again...
I disappeared.
Appearing above it.
The battlefield gasped.
"She's flying!"
"No..."
The Council Elder whispered.
"She's moving through Eclipse currents."
---
I drove my fist downward.
Silver and crimson energy exploded on impact.
The beast crashed to one knee.
The entire valley shook.
Cracks spread beneath its feet.
The Hollow Court soldiers stumbled backward.
The silver-masked leader clenched his fists.
"Impossible..."
King Cassian smiled through tears.
"My..."
He stopped himself.
His voice barely escaped.
"She's magnificent."
---
The beast roared in fury.
Black spikes erupted from its back.
Hundreds of them.
They shot toward me like arrows.
"Shield!"
Lunara cried.
Without thinking...
I raised one hand.
A dome of silver moonlight surrounded me.
The spikes shattered the instant they touched it.
The force of the impact sent shockwaves across the battlefield.
Nightshade wolves stared in amazement.
Shadowmoon warriors slowly lowered their weapons.
Even the Royal Guard paused.
No one had ever seen power like this.
---
The beast refused to fall.
It slammed both fists into the ground.
Dark magic exploded outward.
This time...
I wasn't fast enough.
The blast struck me squarely in the chest.
Pain tore through my body.
I was thrown across the battlefield.
I hit the ground hard.
Everything went silent.
The Eclipse aura flickered.
Lunara stumbled.
"We're hurt."
Vespera dropped to one knee.
"Too much power..."
I struggled to breathe.
"So..."
The silver-masked leader smiled again.
"She bleeds after all."
Draven's roar shook the mountains.
Orion burst forward, ignoring his own injuries.
He stood over me.
Massive.
Protective.
Furious.
"No one touches our mate!"
Every Nightshade wolf heard him through the pack link.
Without hesitation...
They answered.
"Protect our Luna!"
Hundreds of wolves charged as one.
At the same moment...
King Cassian's Blood Link echoed across the battlefield.
"Protect the Princess!"
Every Royal Guard moved instantly.
Shadowmoon answered with Alpha Alaric's command.
"Protect the Heir!"
For the first time in history...
Three supernatural armies moved together.
Not because of an order.
Because they had chosen her.
Tears filled my eyes.
"They're..."
Lunara smiled.
"They're our family."
Vespera nodded.
"And they believe in us."
---
The beast laughed.
"Then they can die with you."
It raised one massive claw.
Ready to strike.
I slowly stood.
Blood trickled from the corner of my mouth.
My Eclipse Form flickered again.
It wasn't stable.
Not yet.
I was exhausted.
Untrained.
Barely holding on.
But I smiled.
"You still don't understand..."
The beast frowned.
"Understand what?"
I looked toward Draven.
Toward King Cassian.
Toward Alpha Alaric.
Toward every warrior standing beside me.
"I'm..."
My silver eye glowed.
"My mother's daughter."
My crimson eye blazed.
"And..."
Silver and crimson energy exploded from my body once more.
"My father's child."
The entire battlefield disappeared beneath a blinding wave of Eclipse light.
