I don't know how long I stood in that doorway and watched as my mate kissed another. The fire in me, the one that awakened my dragon, was blown away in a single instance. I needed to leave, to get out of there. There's no way I could just stand there and watch this. The way her naked body was pulled against his, the gentleness I'd never seen him present to anyone, shining in his eyes. I took a step back, and then another, careful that they wouldn't hear me. I'm pretty sure Jasper noticed me, but I couldn't let her see me stunned like this. Then again, what did it matter now?
