His face went white as paper. His eyes were full of confusion and rage. Edward stared at Vivienne. Didn't blink. The muscles in his cheeks twitched. A pen rolled off the desk, hit the floor with a small clink. That's what snapped him back. "Vivienne?!" Edward barked the name, but it came out of his throat like it was being squeezed out of a pipe. Vivienne smiled, calm. Pretended she didn't know a thing. "Mr. Hale. You wanted to see me about something?" She was smiling, but inside, the hate was so big it almost swallowed her whole.
