I blushed, nervously removing my hands still in Williams own.
Alpha frowned, c*****g his head to the side as he observed me.
One shot of tequila coming up. I mutter, turning towards the arrays of tequila arranged.
My hands shook slightly, and I had to take a moment to calm my nerves. Last time he saw me, I was dirty. Now I am sure I looked different.
I passed the drink towards him, avoiding eye contact.
Please….please let him not remember me was the only thought ringing through my brain.
“You want to get out of here for a moment with me?” Williams slurred out, his alcoholic breath blasting my nostrils.
I moved back a bit, briefly glancing at Alpha who was scrolling through his phone.
“Maybe not today.” I whispered out to Williams, avoiding his hands.
I don’t know why I was behaving like this. Last time I saw him, he had basically threw me out of his car, nearly running me over.
I should be taking Williams up on this opportunity, take my time to gather enough funds. Knowing my shitty luck, it would be foolish of me not to prepare for the worst.
“Come on….please, whatever you want…” Williams begged, not taking no for an answer.
I sighed, leaning down to stare at him.
“Behave, if you are good, and can wait till I am done working, then we see. Understood?”
Williams nodded quickly, eager to please me.
Soon, a beautiful lady joined Alpha, and I kept serving them, trying not to evesdrop on their conversation.
Occasionally, I would catch Alpha staring at me, and then he would wrinkle his nose, his gaze hardening before continuing his discussion with the lady.
“My bill please.” Alpha called out, distracting me from my conversation with Jason.
I calculated his bill, handing it to him. He paid with his card, my eyes scanning it quickly. So Caspian was really his name huh.
I watch as he took the lady’s hand, and together they left the bar.
“Does that guy come here often?” I asked Jason.
“Not really, but I have seen his face a few times. Do you know him?”
“No, he just looks familiar.” I checked the time, it was past 3:0clock, Williams was passed out on his chair.
I start gathering everything, it was time to close, while Jason went around, rousing the few drunkard littered about.
See, this was why i didn’t really take to alcohol. A few passed out night like this had made me realize it wasn’t my choice of highness.
The bar was empty now except Williams now awake, gulping water like his life depended on it, Jason had left, leaving me to lock up.
I eyed Williams, contemplating if I really was going to f**k him. I wasn’t in the mood, and honestly seeing Alpha had put me in a foul mood.
Williams dropped the empty can of water, turning towards me.
“So…., I waited patiently, and you are done with work. Can I have you to myself now?”
“Not here, do you have somewhere we could go to?” I wasn’t f*****g him inside this bar, neither did i want him knowing I lived upstairs.
“Hummmm, my car? Is that ok?”
“Sure go wait outside, I need to lock up.”
Williams nodded, standing up and then staggering. He grinned at me, before staggering outside.
I sighed, pinching my nose. Was I really so shitty as to take advantage of a drunk man? The answer to that question was yes. I was a shitty person.
I closed up, before walking to the only car still packed in the parking lot.
Everywhere was dark, the only source of light a lamp pole a distance away. I had switched off the bar light, so now I had to walk in the dark, glancing around nervously.
Shit…. I don’t know why, but something didn’t feel right. Everything was too quiet, dread was quickly coiling in my stomach, and I briefly contemplated turning back.
I reached the car, knocking on the window.
“Williams, open up it’s me.” No answer, I knock on the window again.
Ok, now all these was screaming bad ideal.
My gut was churning now, my mind screaming for me to go back.
Loud howls pierce the silent night, the eerie sound chilling me to the bone.
Fuck it, Williams could wait.
I turn, walking fast towards the bar. Whatever that sound was, I wanted no part of it.
The howl sounded again, this time really close. It sounded like wolves, which was silly. Wolves didn’t come around this part of town, or maybe it was a really big dog. s**t, I had a fear for the both of them.
My skin prickled, the feeling of being watched too much now. I had tried to ignore it earlier, but I couldn’t now.
Fuck, where the f**k was Williams?
I stopped suddenly, chocking back my scream.
Red eyes stared at me from the distance, the menacing glow, a sharp contrast against the darkness of the night.
I move back slowly, the beast in front of me moving forward slowly.
Whatever beast that was, growled lowly, the sound vibrating through the darkness.
I turned, running.
The beast runs after me, it’s paws hitting the solid ground, the sound of that, prompted my legs to move faster.
Why…, why couldn’t I catch a moment rest. Who would have thought i would be chased by a beast at this ungodly hour of the night.
I scream as the beast slam into me, it’s sharp canine sinking into my leg.
Screaming for help, I slam my other leg into the beast head repeatedly.
I was going to die. Infant there was a time I prayed for death, but being mauled to death by a beast was definitely not the way i would have chose to go, especially not now, when I actually thought life could get better.
Another beast slam into the beast biting into my leg, the both of them rolling around as they tear into each other.
That stupid lamp was too far, and the light it provided wasn’t too bright for me to actually see what was really going on.
Or even what had really attacked me.
I didn’t wait though, I dragged myself up, dragging my foot as I hurried away from the fighting beast.
My leg was bleeding, and i could smell something else. Whatever it was called to me like a siren.
My vision went dark for a moment, by the time I came through, I was teeth deep inside the beast, drinking it’s blood, while the other beast that had saved me stood, watching me.
Finally, I pushed the dead beast away, throwing up all the blood I had drank from it.
I start shaking, Nic’s lifeless body flashing before my eyes, everything I had tried to push down rushing to the surface.
Something was terribly wrong with me, I just drank that beast blood, but now, i could see it was a wolf.
The other wolf moved towards me, and I scream, backing away.
“Stop…, don’t come close. I don’t want to drink your blood.” I could feel it now, that deep hunger within me as I stared at the wolf, specifically at the wide gash running down its back, where blood, rich smelling thick mouthwatering blood was pouring out from.
Before I know it, I was in front of the wolf, sinking my teeth into its neck.
The wolf howled loudly, swinging at me with its claw.
My body shook in euphoria, this was better, far far better than any drug I have ever injected.
The wolf swiped at me, the force of it breaking my concentration.
It howled loudly and deeply, that familiar sound making me back away from the wolf.
And right there, before my very eyes, something that i can’t explain, something that might send me right into the mental asylum I belong. what was once a wolf, changed into a man. A very naked familiar man.
He was badly wounded, but still stood tall, his cold green eyes staring at me.
“s**t…. What the f**k are you?” was the last sentence i remember saying, before my head hit the concrete, rendering me unconscious.
