Trouble looms

Keisha’s POV

I stood frozen in place, staring straight at him, as he also stared at me with a stern expression. This could not be happening. My head was spinning, and I felt really light-headed.

I remembered the event in the morning and felt my heart drop to my stomach, I was so going to be fired.

He started moving, coming straight at me. Images of that night flashed in my eyes,i gulped down hard, and I just wanted to enter the ground. Why was this happening to me?

He moved close to me and looked at me with a neutral expression, I couldn’t make anything of it, what was he thinking, he walked past me and headed straight for his office, saying nothing.

I looked for Matt and realized he was gone. The lunch break was over, so that was expected. I looked to my table and saw the document Matt wanted to give him. I had to give him, I had to face him, talk to him even, I wasn’t ready, I just wasn’t, but I had to.

I took the document and headed straight for his office. I knocked gently and heard a sound to come in. I entered with my head up high, not wanting to show any sign of nervousness or weakness.

‘Matt wanted to drop this earlier, but you weren’t around’ I said holding the document, he looked up at me and I immediately felt weak in my knees, his striking blue eyes were staring right at me, with no expression and that sent shivers down my spine.

‘Drop it and leave’ he said and I did just as he said, I turned to leave, I felt his pairs of eyes on me as I was leaving, I didn’t dare look back, scared of even looking at him again.

it was time to close for the day. I packed my things and prepared to leave. I peeped at him and saw he was working furiously, focused on what he was doing. I sighed and exited the building, not wanting him to spot me. I headed straight home and immediately called Alexa. I needed to pour out what the actual f**k just happened to me.

‘Alexaaaaaa!’ I screamed immediately she picked up.

‘What girl?, how was your first day?’ she asked

‘Horrible!’ I said as I let out a loud grunt of frustration ‘you will not believe, that guy I slept with on Friday is actually my boss’ I said

‘Girll, shut up’ she screamed at me

‘I wish I was making this up, I really wish I was, the crazy thing is, I saw him with another girl this morning and was really rude to them’ I said with regret.

‘Damn, just pray this boss of yours is the forgiving type’ she said.

‘That’s the thing, he isn’t. I heard he fires people for the slightest mistake, just this month he has already fired at least 5 people and this is just 10th of this month, what am I going to do?, I am so fired’ I said

‘Damn girl that’s crazy. This is going to be really crazy for you’ she replied

‘Girl I know, I know, I am thinking of resigning to avoid further embarrassment’ I said

‘Don’t you dare’ she yelled ‘wait till he fires you, which he might not, you worked your ass off to get to where you are now, so you better don’t try it’ she said like a really strict mum and I giggled a little.

I noticed a strange number was calling me, I wanted to ignore it, but it was persistent.

‘okay girl I got to go’ I said as I ended the call with her and picked up the call.

‘Hello?’ I said but got no response

‘Helloo? I said agian, but still no response, I was about to end the call when a familiar voice came through.

‘Come to the office now’ a stern voice came through, and I immediately recognized the voice. It was him, my boss. Before I could say any other thing, he ended the call, and I immediately called an Uber.

I was about to be fired. That has to be the only reason he was calling me by this time. Life is so unfair, and a single tear dropped from my eye as I anticipated my termination.

Minutes later, I arrived at the office, everywhere was empty. Most people had gone home,i took the elevator. When I arrived at the office it was silent, I could hear nothing, only the light in his office was on, he was waiting for me, I approached door and mentally prepared myself for what was to come. This was it, I was getting fired.

I opened the door and saw him in front of his desk, he was waiting, I moved closer to him and saw he was looking at me with a weird expression. He looked a bit sad, and he moved closer to me.

‘You asked for me sir’ I said shaking, he was very close to me, I could feel his breath on mine, he took my face in his palm and I was immediately taken aback, I couldn’t look him straight in the eye, he tried to force me to but I refused.

‘Look at me’ he roared, I remained fixed in my position, I was so scared, what have I gotten myself into.

‘Look at me and see what you are doing to me’ he said again and I looked straight at him now, he was looking at me like he had been longing for me, like I was a prey and he was the predator, his face came closer to mine and he planted his lips on mine, I was to shook by this, I couldn’t move and he planted his lips deeper on mine and I responded.

‘ I need you’ he said in a low voice, quivering.
