CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO
“You are not having second thoughts, are you?” Jace’s voice interrupted my thoughts. Sighing in helplessness, I cast one sad glance at Jenifer. She looked happy with that mortal and for the first time ever in my entire immortal life, I wished nothing but happiness for someone else. What was happening to me? Usually, I just care about me and what suited me.
“Of course not. If I can’t have Jenifer, at least I can still be with the woman I first fell in love with, right?” It was just a consolation thought in my head.
“That’s the spirit bro,” he patted my shoulder as walked to his car.
The ride to his house seemed to be taking forever and a part of me wished I could speed up time. I wanted to forget Jenifer and anything to do with her just for a little while so
