Which is fine by me, since I’m already fed up with this hellhole that’s masquerading as a home and the demons within it. It heart twisted in agony at the realization to that her so-called “family” were oh so eager to send her away. Well, if she will make an early exit Vina decided that she will look her best when she finally takes her leave… "I doubt you want me smelling of sweat and pre-school lunches in front of your guests, right," the lightly tanned female slyly remarked with her teacher’s bag hanging from one shoulder and her heart-shaped face lined with stress. Azura and her mother looked at each other then back at the adopted young woman who just spokeher mind. One glance at Vina and anyone can easily tell that she was not at her best. "All right then, get to your room, take a bath, get dressed and get to the dining room as soon as possible. Don't keep us waiting any longer, The elderly woman ordered Vina dismissively, not wanting to present her as she was for fear that this useless orphan was going to be rejected by the father and son duo. Vina took the back route through the kitchen and up the back stairs. She hurriedly crossed to her room without revealing herself to the visitors. On her way up to the second floor, Vina could hear muffled voices and hearty laughter from the dining room but each sound only gave her goosebumps since she was certain that the topic of discussion was about her. Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to choose something to wear instead of curling up in a fetal position then cry helplessly in a corner and feel sorry for myself. Vina took out a black v-neckchiffon pantsuit with cascading ruffles and laid it on her comfortable double-bed, which was a birthday gift from one of her student’s parents. She then peeled off her clothes and stepped into the her small bathroom to shower. The lovely Italian lass carefully set the the water to warm and allowed it to spray all her worries away. True, this decision to marry was never mine to begin with initially but I’d rather take it than ti be stuck with this damn family of hypocrites who never gave a damn about me and most likely never will. Besides, I did since agreed to it for grand dad’s sake. . Vina finished her shower with a new resolve brewing within her. In record time, she was already dressed and she put on a platinum and Swarovski crystal jewelry set which she reserved for special occasions such as this. Vina had not bothered to wash her hair, since she had already shampooed it yesterday. So after apply a little nude makeup, she expertly twirled her long strawberry blond waves into an elegant voluminous side braid. Her thoughts as she sprayed Paco Rabanne Olympea Solar Intense Eau De Parfum on her pulse points: I am going to captain my life and steer it to shore whether they like it or not. After all, this my life that we’re talking about and I have only one. Her life was little worse than a shipwreck beneath a stormy sea but Vina was determined to get it back together somehow and weather things out. The young teacher was sure that she will not just be a survivor but a true winner The attire she wore hugged her voluptuous figure in all the right places and revealed a little of her cleavage due to the branded jumpsuit’s low neckline. For the final touch, Vina spritzed on Colorescience hydrating setting mist on her faceand applied Solid Serum Lip Gloss by Ito on her pouty lips. When she was satisfied with her imagein her full-length mirror, Vina flashed her sweetest smile and walked out her room with her head held high. I have to make this count, even if I annoy the heck out of my stepsister and surrogate parents. After all, this is probably going to be the last day that I will have to put up with these vile fiends in this mansion. As she slowly descended the stairs, Vina held onto the mahogany rail while taking confident steps towards her new destiny. The brown-eyed maiden wiped her sweaty palms stealthily on her outfit and the stairway’s railing while trying to push away herfeeling of nervousness as she rounded the corner leading to the dining table. "Vina, my daughter," The blonde haired pretender who called himself her father announced proudly. “You are finally here.” Yes, Mister Osias Rivera had just called Vina his daughter so openly, easily and casually. However, the poor adopted orphan truly wished that this thickly- bearded family head would indeed, for once, willthink of her as that but wishful thinking can only go so far. "Yes, I am," The lightly tanned lass replied as she took a seat at the table, her head slightly tilted whileher clenched hands were placed on her lap. Vina found herself silently praying for courage and strength to face them all. The conversation at the table was brief and the soon-to-be bride barely ate as she absentmindedly picked on her plate of pasta. To honest, Vina was more thirsty then hungry due to extreme anxiety. The apple mocktail drink that she was currently demolishing was her third one within ten minutes. The others were soon done yet the anxious girl had hardly eaten half of what she was served. "Here are the marriage documents for you to sign,my dear,” stated a handsome suited man in a thick New York accent, as he held out a silver-coated Shaeffer ballpoint and file filled with documents to hert. “You do realize that there is no need for a church ceremony because this is just an arranged marriage, yes?” The light-haired groom’s insensitive but factual statement brought tears to her eyes but Vina managed to hold them back just in time. In order to hide her true feelings regarding this union, the miserable teacher immediately opened the folder, took the pen and began to look for the right place to put her signature.
