I awoke as the sunlight touched the curtains giving the room a warm sheer of sunshine. Good f*****g morning. I grimaced at the blinding light that consumed my eyes but forcefully standing up to stretch my whole body. Little pops won't hurt.

"Good morning, Madeleine." I heard my cat Ashes said politely. I usually call him Ash and I got him by summoning him within the forest, I don't like picking one - with my familiar leaving no choice but to be stuck with me. I treasure familiars deeply and I don't want to restrict their freedom. Some witches can choose their familiar whether it be for aura, looks, and breed in the market or in the woods-as they go on their midnight stroll but, some aren't just compatible that they don't develop trust. You can't establish intimacy without trust. A pact will be broken by the rusting of spiritual chains.

A pact can be destroyed if it has been created. No one, even the Universe which grants us power-created an entity that cannot be destroyed, it is not fit in the equilibrium of the physical and spiritual dimension. A give and a take sooner or later.

Ashes is covered in midnight fur and has a pair of piercing amber orbs. He's truly charming.

"Good morning, Ash." I muttered before going back to bed. "Madeleine Dralila Poppy, if you don't stand up for one second" he hissed. "Coming, coming. You sound like my mother." I rolled my eyes and smiled. "We have to go to the black blessing so chop chop, wear a nice dress so we can look presentable." He climbed onto the bed. "Excuse me, we?" I raised my brow as my lips twitched. "Yes, we. I am already covered by my fur or you suggest I should double cover?" He annoyingly hissed. "f*****g smart-ass." I mumbled.

I strolled the town as I walked into a bakery and fetching her breakfast and hastily eating it. Thank you Universe.

Walking down the sidewalk, I got this anxiety that has got me feeling that I forgot something. f**k! THE BOTTLE. I sprinted all the way to the house and grabbed the bottle that contains the purest liquid, a water I had created with the nectar of wild daises. When I saw Ashes I panted, running out of breath. "You done?" Ashes looked at me with his bored tone and an annoyed look. "Seriously Madeleine you piss me off every minute, but at the same time I really adore you, my Master." He scoffed but then his growl was replaced with a purr.

Cats.

I inwardly smirked.

"I love you too." I mockingly smiled as a sarcastic tone, escaped my lips. "We're here." I looked at the humongous tree that it's roots are connected to the very four elements of the universe, which is fire, water, wind and earth. I was gifted by the power of Water but I can also do the other elements but not as masterfully as my main element. I closed my eyes and chanted as I pour the liquid out of the vessel while pricking my index finger to draw out blood.

I stared at the Raven clinging onto the branch of the tree and noticed something strange. There's no person in a holy occasion besides me. Suspicious, I chanted a water orb that floats on my palm as I await for the incoming danger. As soon as I heard a twig snapped I rushed my orb into that direction and noticed that it was just a squirrel so I stopped my orb mid-way and putted it back in the puddle.

"Have you noticed anything different Ash?" I whispered as I signaled him to use his impeccable vision to see and sense someone or something. "Just one and be alert. Let's go" He ushered. This was a hidden tree but witches definitely know where it was. Or not.

A shadow emerged from the trees and as I noticed a ruby glint, I immediately forged a water orb while Ash is ready to protect me. I directed my palm onto the figure and it reappeared past the trees approaching me. I trapped him onto the tree by water. "State your reasons on why you are here or else I'll burn you alive with that tree." I threatened. "I'm injured" he coughed while his breath rasped his throat. Definitely, I noticed a pool of blood onto his side rib and many scratches around his torso that made his cloth tear. I studied his expression and glancing at him I noticed his raven hair and silver eyes that contrasted my silky golden blonde locks and ocean orbs.

"Where did you come from? Are you a witch?" I demanded loudly. "I came from Vlarroth and I'm a Vampire, now that I've answered your question care to tend me?" He barks impatient and obviously in pain. Tch, fine.

I made a bed out of water and combining it my summon of the North wind to freeze the surface for him to lay down on top of it. I chanted to summon the purest water of Mother to carefully heal his cuts and bruises. When I was done I dismissed the elements immediately and coughed blood, I should've left him to die. For me to waste my blood and energy for this young man who I don't even know of, is very unlikely me. But I already am in this situation so I can't complain. "You owe me for saving your life. I wasted a lot of blood and energy for you to-" I got cut off as he kissed me suddenly that made Ashes scratched his leg and hissed. "f*****g FELINE" he roared. "Serves you right for kissing me."

"It was supposed to be my payment." he said while holding his leg. "A PAYMENT? What did you lose?!" I roared as I gripped the collar of the young man. "My innocence." He fluttered his eyes as he said it sarcastically with his husky voice.

Men.

"The name is Valentino, would you mind for me to know yours? He bowed as he gripped my hands and kissed my knuckles. "Asshole. Forget the payment and stay away from me." infuriated, I storms out of the woods to be met by a town. "If I bump into him again, I swear I would-"

"Madeleine! Why haven't I seen you by the holy tree? It's black blessing day remember?" She heard a familiar voice, her friend Akita. "But I was just there." I said confused. "No you didn't, my familiar and I searched for you but you are nowhere to be found." she surely said. "Then who-what tree did I gave my black blessing onto?" I said hastily as anxiety is starting to emerge in my stomach. I noticed her eyes widen, my anxiety is now at it's peak. "You gave your blessing into a nymph tree."
