My father is a very gentle and nice man, he's always advised me to be a man like that slanting tree in the jungle that bows down to Earth, and not like the one that stood still, because the trees that stand straight were the first to be chopped & fallen on the ground.
I was too curious so I went further; I asked my dad, whether the trees that bow down to Earth weren't ripped off by the woodcutters or extreme weather?
He said, "No they'd rip off the slanting trees too, but after they finish up with the struggle of ripping the trees that stood straight and long".
What I felt with the further conversation with my father was, why do we wait to get ripped off? Why do we bow down to them that makes them wanna rip us later cause we’re easy to chop, I said I'd rather be getting ripped first in the row, while I'd wanna stand so tall, thick and straight that they struggle all day just to chop me off and save the other trees from getting ripped for the whole day. If you're going to get chopped anyway, make your demolition be count worth something.
Every struggle should be realistic and tough. Like wisely, the woodcutter must feel the need to say, ‘I could've begun with the slanting tree’, maybe ‘I'd have took some extra wood home’, or he might say ‘This tree is worth the struggle’, he could even say, ‘This wood would get me good money’. I felt, I’d always be ready to sacrifice myself for someone else's happiness. If it kills someone's hunger by my sacrifice, I'd surely be getting ripped off.
Later that I realized what my father always tried to do; He wanted to make me self-seeking, he tried to teach me how'd I be able to survive in the world which is so cruel that it just tries to rip you off for their fulfillment. My dad's been the same for all his life; he's been getting ripped off all his life for fulfillment of his elder brothers & their desired lifestyles. But no, I've just chosen to be the one like him. He’s the one that chooses to keep happy over being happy; & that my dear is the ideal way to live. Because in life, you get back what all you give to the world; be wise about what you give to people. It's the law of attraction that gets you things similar to those thoughts in your head; so keep giving love & serenity with wisdom & keep receiving the same.
