Kylie's POV
"What took you so long?" I handed Vegas his soda when I entered the room.
"I was talking with those people outside, it took longer than I had expected," I brushed the topic off.
"Why is she here?" Jaylen took the soda I had gotten for Vegas from my hand.
"She got food for mom," Vegas pointed at the cooler, "and that was mine."
"Sorry, Kylie go and get another one," Jaylen instructed and for a moment I forgot he was my boss.
"Don't worry about it," Vegas stopped me from leaving, "How is Rex?"
"Rex's surgery was successful and he will be staying with us till he gets better," Jaylen opened it and gulped it down.
"Did you find the woman?" Vegas asked Jaylen.
"No but we are working on something, we will get her soon," Jaylen sounded so sure.
