I touched the other side of the bed but opened my eyes when I realized he wasn't there. I stood up and checked the bathroom and he wasn't there. I wondered where Jaylen could be.
I went to Harper's room to check on her but she wasn't there so I went to the kitchen and she was there.
“Harper, are you okay?” I asked when I entered the kitchen.
“I cannot be okay, my head is pounding, I wonder what Mr. Rex put in that drink of yesterday,” Harper poured a glass of water into the cup and drank from it.
“Rex? Rex brought the drinks of yesterday?” I asked to be sure I heard right and Madam nodded her head.
