JAMES'S POV
When I looked at her face, a strange restlessness and helplessness was written all over it. Tears floated in her lake-like eyes, trembling on her lashes, ready to fall at any moment. She was trapped in a whirlpool of fear and terror where not even a faint ray of hope was visible to her. Her condition stirred something strange inside my heart. I wanted to step forward and erase all her worries and every fear forever. I wanted to pull her out of this pain, but before I could comfort her or end her distress, she could not bear the intensity of that fear any longer and was about to collapse unconscious to the floor. Before she could fall, I rushed and held her lifeless form in my arms.
