Summoned to be a Weapon

Having already been attacked once Rangi was not going to take the chance of using what he knew as the main roads for this area that he found himself in at the moment. He did not know how much long he would be able to do this though as he was reaching the limits of the area that he roamed around in the hidden village of Malbury Point was located in. he never had a reason to go mcuh further as he was not truly trying to explore that far away from his home after all. Just seeing what the world outside his isolated home looked like at times was enough for him. See everything was never his real purpose after all as he was fine living in the village. It was more a case of just seeing enough every now and then to know what was going on beyond the limits of the village and the forest itself. Also to get things they needed when they needed them as one such case was why he came here in the first place. The village and the forest being wiped out is now why he was trying to get as far away from it as possible for now. Can not make any decision about what to do next if he ends up possibly joining everyone else. Whether or not they were all dead, captured, on the run, and/or a mixture of the previous three to avoid falling into one of those choices Rangi decided to just get away and let low for a while

This was not just running away from those who were the cause of the Malbury Point being wiped out. It was more of a strategic retreat, as what go would be attempting to confront something and/or someone he truly knew nothing about. They could even be banking on him making the reckless choice to go back to the general area where Malbury Point is located to start looking for a number of things right away. Letting things cool down and getting the information to know what he could even do in the first place is what he was focusing on more than getting immediate results and answers. Short term success can lead to failure in the long term however he had to be weary that he did not go too far in the other direction as that was also an issue to deal with.

Rangi arrived at the town that was the furthest away he had ever ventured thus far though it took longer this time around. That was because he took the longer indirect route that was less traveled. Hoping that if anyone was attempting to follow him they would think that he was risking the main or even the secondary road to prioritize speed of getting here faster. Over the safety of not being spotted as easily on the lesser used indirect routes instead. Rather than just going straight into the town itself even though he was starting to run low on various supplies and food as well. There was going to be some more planning before doing so. Rangi did not want to just go into a town without having some knowledge about what he was about to get himself into. He was attacked once already it would not do him any good to approach any town without keeping this one thing in mind.

If they had attacked him once already then it was more than likely that they would be attacking him for a second time and possibly even more beyond that. He never went home after learning of the attack by chance because it was likely that there would be attackers still there waiting for him the moment he showed up. Though it pained him, had only had to deal with the single attacker that had come after him so far. If the person or people behind the attack had more power and influence then he could have possibly expected or known. Then just walking in a town without some forethought was not the smartest of ideas.

"Gau go look at the gate for that town over there and report back. Though stay as far away from the town as possible as getting seen is the last thing I want happening at the moment" he told her.

"As you wish, owner" Gau replied as she then went off to carry out his order.

Leaving him alone with Let who carrying out her now assigned the duty of helping him keep watch of the surrounding area as people were not the only ones that he knew we had to be aware of since he started traveling outside of his village. There were various animals and creatures to deal with out in nature that could pose a threat to him for a completely different reason. Along with the chance of having to deal with bandits, thieves, and various other criminals that roam around looking for their next prey, target, or victim to take everything up to and including their life.

Although Rangi did not like Gau and Let acting like they were one being with two different bodies. Having Gau go off on her and leaving Let here was not just to help him secure the area around them. That and watching out for him for anything that could pose a possible threat them them regardless of the reasoning they have. Gau and Let could share their sense thus what one sees the other would and vice versa. So Rangi was using this to having so that Gau would go looking at the town herself and Let would report back to him what Gau was seeing in real time. Took so much pratice for them to pull this off but they were managing it after they were basically forced to get the hang of it after all. Rangi was not going to let them just let them claim that they could. Also, he saw this as a way to get them to work apart from one another more than they were consider how thing were before he made thme start doing it.
