Episode 4: "Is it her?"

I could hardly believe my eyes. Is it really her? Standing in front of me is Angelina; the woman with whom I had a one-night stand three years ago. She used to date my best friend, Noah William. I bumped into her again at Johnson Corporation in California, where I'm currently negotiating a business deal.

As I looked at the woman standing before me at the Johnson Company, I couldn't help but wonder what she was doing there. I was shocked, and she seemed to be just as surprised to see me. "Ms. Angelina, meet Mr. Kingston Nicholas, the CEO of Alpha Stone Company," introduced Ms. Andriana, the CEO of Johnson Company. Despite my initial shock, I immediately composed myself to maintain a professional demeanor. After all, it was an important meeting to make a deal with Johnson Corporation for my business.

I can see that Ms. Angelina was in shock and unable to speak when Ms. Andriana introduced me to her. After a while, Mr. Johnson asked her if she was okay. "Ms. Angelina, are you alright?" he asked when she didn't respond. "Yes, Mr. Johnson, I'm alright," she replied after composing herself. "Welcome to Johnson Corporation, Mr. Kingston Nicholas. I'm Ms. Angelina Robert, Ms. Andriana's secretary," she introduced herself and offered her hand to me. I looked at her hand for a few seconds, then took it and held it tightly. Although I appeared calm on the outside, I was shocked when she introduced herself as the CEO's secretary. After three years, I heard her voice again. It was strong and professional, and she didn't stutter when she spoke. I was impressed. I let go of her hand after holding it for too long. The warmth faded away as soon as I released it. I wanted to hold her hand until I was satisfied. "Good morning, Ms. Angelina. Nice to meet you," I replied.

"Shall we start our meeting, Mr. Kingston?" Ms. Andriana interrupted our moment. Everyone sat down, and Ms. Andriana presented the project. During the meeting, I couldn't help but look at Ms. Angelina from time to time. She looked stunning. Three years ago, she looked like a young girl despite being 24 years old at the time, but now she looks mature and attractive.

I wonder what happened to Angelina after the incident three years ago. She seems to have changed so much since then. The last time I saw her, she looked vulnerable and weak. But now she looks stunning and confident. I can hardly believe she is the same person. I've been feeling guilty about what happened three years ago and regret my mistake. But now, fate has given me a chance to make things right. I met Angelina again, and I won't make the same mistake twice. I'll do whatever it takes to make everything right for both of us.

The meeting with Johnson Corporation went well, and I was impressed by their products. I wasted no time in telling them that I would make a deal with them the next day. They were thrilled to hear it. Many companies around the world are eager to partner with my Alpha Stone Company, which is the number one billionaire company worldwide. To improve my company, I decided to make a deal with Johnson Corporation.

"Mr. Kingston, to show our gratitude, we held a grant party today as we successfully closed a deal. Therefore, we request you to attend the party to celebrate our success," Mr. Johnson informed me. "Don't worry, Mr. Johnson. I will attend the party to celebrate our success," I replied.

"Mr. Kingston, I must take my leave now as I have to prepare many things for the party. My father will guide you for the rest of the day. Thank you so much for making the deal with us," Ms. Andriana said to me. "You're welcome, Ms. Andriana," I replied while looking at Angelina, who was also smiling brightly. She is such a pure and innocent soul.

"Ms. Angelina, let's go. We have to prepare so many things for the party," Ms. Andriana told Angelina, and they both walked out of the meeting room. I felt sad when Angelina walked out of the room, and I wanted to speak to her, but I knew that this was not the right time. I decided to talk to her at the party. This was going to be hard for me to deal with. I came out of my thoughts when suddenly Mr. Johnson asked me something.

"Mr. Kingston, do you know Ms. Angelina? I know it's not my place to ask, but I couldn't help but notice your reaction when you saw her. She also seemed surprised when she saw you," Mr. Johnson asked. "Mr. Johnson, I do know Ms. Angelina from a long time ago, although we haven't seen each other in quite some time. I was taken aback when I saw her here, but I've been trying to keep it professional. This isn't the best place for us to catch up. I prefer to keep my personal and professional lives separate. However, I do plan on speaking with her at the party later." I replied politely. I didn't want to divulge my personal life to a stranger, but I also didn't want to be rude to Mr. Johnson. I could tell he was curious about the connection between Ms. Angelina and me, given our reactions to each other.

"I apologize if I overstepped. Ms. Angelina is like family to me. She's my daughter Andriana's childhood best friend, and we've been there for her through a lot. When she arrived here, she seemed vulnerable and broken. I just wanted to make sure you weren't one of the people who hurt her three years ago," Mr. Johnson explained. I was shocked that Mr. Johnson knew so much about Angelina's past. Did he know about my involvement too? I stood there speechless, unsure of what to say. He broke the silence, "Judging by your reaction, I'm guessing you didn't know about what happened to Ms. Angelina's life three years ago. I hope you both can catch up with everything at the party," he said. I didn't reply and just smiled at him because I didn't know how to respond. I felt shocked and saddened when he told me that Angelina had suffered so much in the past three years.

Now, my mind is filled with thoughts. How can I approach Angelina? How can I start a conversation with her? Will she even talk to me? I have no plan for what I should do. In business, I can handle anything and solve problems without much stress, but now I'm struggling. Handling business is easier than this type of situation. My father once told me that a man can handle anything, but when it comes to dealing with women, he must be careful and tactful. It is important for a man to have a good understanding and approach towards women.

I paid no attention to my father's advice on women during that time because I was only interested in my business. Relationships, love, or marriage are not something I believe in. My life revolves around business and money. I'm often targeted by women in various ways, but I won't give in to any relationship, love, or marriage. I received the nickname 'solo king without a queen' from everyone around me. Being a virgin boy is something my friends always make fun of me for. I had no desire for a woman, but after the one-night stand I had with Angelina, I gave up my virginity and also my heart to her. Angelina and I share the same trait of being virgins. The one-night stand caused both of us to lose our virginity. Until today, I couldn't stop thinking about our passionate night after that night. For me, every moment of that night was pure bliss. We not only shared our bodies with each other on that night, but our hearts as well. Due to my stupidity, I lost my mind and made the biggest mistake that resulted in the destruction of my and Angelina's lives.

I know this may sound crazy, but I fell in love with Angelina after a one-night stand we had three years ago. I'm not sure how it happened, but I couldn't help my feelings for her. Unfortunately, three years ago, I made the mistake of trusting the person I trusted the most, and I hurt Angelina badly by not trusting her. I now realize my mistake and want to make things right between us. It won't be easy, but I'm determined to make things work and live a happy life with Angelina. My best friend, Noah William, was Angelina's boyfriend three years ago, but he betrayed both Angelina and me. Because of him, Angelina lost everything precious in her life. I regret that I didn't trust Angelina and blindly believed Noah William, which ultimately ruined her life.

I tried to find Angelina after discovering the truth about Noah William, but it was too late. Angelina had disappeared from New York City. Despite my efforts, I was unsuccessful in locating her, and even her own family had disowned her without giving her a chance to prove her innocence. Over the past three years, I had no idea how Angelina was doing or what she was going through. However, based on Mr. Johnson's comments, I came to understand that she had suffered a great deal. I am afraid to know how she managed to overcome everything on her own, without anyone close to her. I am grateful that Mr. Andriana and Mr. Johnson was by her side throughout all her struggles.

Love can happen at any time and any place. It doesn't require the best timing or location. Love will come whenever and wherever it wants.
