I woke up early in the morning, determined to have a proper conversation with Kingston about our issues. I hope today will be different from our usual arguments. I want to be honest and open with him, so the first step is to send my children to daycare. I don't want them around when we talk; it's better they don't witness any potential disagreements.
After showering and getting my children ready for the day, we have a cheerful breakfast together. Once I drop them off at daycare, I return home and tackle all the household chores before 1:00 pm. As I finish up, I settle on the living room couch, anxiously waiting for Kingston's arrival. I keep glancing at the door, feeling the nerves creeping in as the clock strikes 1:00 pm. Kingston could be here any minute now.
