Li Han was shaken awake, blinking several times at the dim lights until the blur sharpened. He was no longer in the car. Instead, he sat in the middle of an empty bar, quiet and still, except for the two steel framed silhouettes watching him like he might disappear again if they looked away for a second. His groggy mind struggled between dream and reality until a glass filled to the brim with strong alcohol was placed right beneath his nose.
Li Han scrunched his face and leaned back like the liquid itself could burn holes through his skin. The smell alone was enough to wake him fully.
