Alexa had just gotten off the phone with Edward and the call had put her in a sour mood. She had spent the last fifteen minutes trying to explain to her boyfriend that there was nothing going on between her and the prince of Caldea.
What made the whole situation worse was that it sounded like she had been trying to convince not only Edward, but also herself.
Edward had seen a picture of her and Dominic taken on the day of the ball, where they apparently looked really cozy together.
She knew the picture he was talking about and knew when it was taken. Dominic had just made a hilarious comment about the hair style of one of the guests and they had burst into laughter and the photographer had managed to capture them at just the right moment.
