I look at them both back and forth to see their reaction. I can see Lacrus’ eyes glaring at Gab while Gab was looking at him confusedly.
“Professor? Why? Is there something wrong?” Gab asks as he smiles awkwardly.
Lacrus just stood there until he cleared his throat to speak. “Nothing, I just want to know your name. If I am not mistaken, you are one of my students, right?”
Gab smiles. “Yes, professor. I am happy you know me.” Lacrus' looks at me and then looks back at Gab. “I am Gab. I am Elsie’s best friend,” Gab replies again.
“I see.” I can sense something from the tone of his voice. “Anyway, have fun. Sorry for disturbing your conversation.” He smiles and leaves with his food. I just look at him until my eyes can't reach him anymore.
What’s up with that guy?
“That was—I was intimidated by his stares, Elsie. He looks scary— no, dangerous!” He whispered and let out a sigh as he placed his hand at his chest.
Yeah, kinda.

Classes are done and I’m now on my way to get home. Madam Therese immediately gave me some food to eat while the chef of the house was preparing for our dinner. I didn’t get in touch with Lacrus after what happened.
“Madam, food is ready. Can we just deliver it here in your room or you want to eat at the dining table?” I looked at my door when I heard one of the maids call me.
“I’ll be eating at the dining table,” I replied.
“Okay, madam.”
Minutes after, I immediately walked straight to the dining table and before I could even sit at the chair, I was astounded to see Lacrus waiting for me.
“You’re a minute late,” he speaks as he keeps on staring at me.
I raised my eyebrows. “I am not expecting you to be here, why all of a sudden?” I ask as I sat at the chair in front of him.
“We’re husband and wife, don’t you think it’s mandatory that we eat together?” I raised my eyebrows even more.
“You’re kinda weird right now, you know? Anyway, I am just here to eat not to fight with you,” I replied and starting to eat.
“I am here for both.”
How I wish I could strangle him right here, right now!
We’re just eating silently when all of a sudden he spoke and was asking about Gab.
“What’s your problem with my best friend?” I ask calmly.
“I just want to ask, am I forbidden to ask questions regarding your social life?” he replied and stopped eating to look at me.
I just keep on looking at him. I can feel that Madam Therese and the others are now looking at us awkwardly.
“Just tell me you’re jealous,” I said and started eating. I saw his vein slowly getting visible. I guess he was irritated.
“No, I am not. Why would I? I was just curious, especially in the future gatherings, you need to come with me as a wife. What if rumors spread about you and him, hmm?” he calmly replies.
Wow, he knows how to control his emotions, huh? Even though it’s too obvious that he is irritated. However, he had a point though.
“Hmm, just a best friend. My best friend ever since I set foot in that school.” I gently placed my spoon and fork at my empty plate and looked at him. “I am done eating, can I leave now?”
He was just straight looking at me. “Yeah, go on.”
I smile and drink my water. “Thank you so much, honey.” And I walk out in front of him.
“God, I really don’t want to have a conversation with him! His presence and the way he always talks, it’s so heavy!” I whispered to myself as I walked towards my room.
He is so unpredictable!
When I finally reached my room’s door, I was so closed to touch the door knob when suddenly someone holds it. I looked at my right side and there I saw him.
“Now, what?” I curiously ask. I was bothered, how did he immediately catch up with me? When I left the dining area while he was eating?
He opens the door and speaks. “Enter.”
His authoritative tone made me obey his words. I gaze at him when we’re not inside my room. Why?” I bravely ask.
“It’s hard to ask questions when there are people looking at us,” he says and looks at me. “I want to know all about him.”
I sarcastically laugh. “If you want to know him that much, ask me nicely and not like that. Or, you can just ask him about himself. Can you please get out of my room now, professor? I still have ‘assignments’ to do in your subject,” I speak and point my index finger at the door.
“You’re kinda bold right now, Elsie.” My eyes widened a bit when I saw him start walking closer. “I guess I have to shut you up.”
“W-what do you mean?” I stuttered.
I saw him smirking as he walked closer. I am just walking backwards until he is finally able to pin me at the wall.
“What do you think I meant, Elsie? Or should I say, honey?” He still keeps on smirking and slowly moves his face closer to mine.
“What are you doing, Lacrus?” I glared at him as he kept on moving his face and looking at my lips. “Are you drunk?”
“I’m way too wild if I’m drunk, Elsie.”
I was trying to reach his ear to pinch it but suddenly, he was able to catch my hand and pinned it against the wall. “What are you trying to do, huh?”
“If you are here to talk, then talk! Do not do this to me, you moron!” I screamed as I glared at him but he wasn’t listening made me furious!
His face was getting closer and closer. I could feel my heart beating faster than ever! Not until my phone rang. He stops and looks at it. I immediately took it and answered the call. I hope this is Father!
“Elsie! I miss you! I’ve been chatting with you but you are not responding. What happened?”
My eyes slowly fixed on Lacrus while I was on the phone with Gab. I can see it in his eyes that he is kinda angry.
“What does he mean by missing you?”
