Chapter 2: Reborn as a House Servant

"Filthy servant! Kneel down!" A roar of anger echoed through an antiquated room. The target of this roar was a young, frail boy whose eyes were hollow and whose complexion was pale and waxy, giving him an extremely weak appearance.

The roar didn't seem to stir any spark in the boy's eyes; instead, they seemed even emptier. No one would believe that the hollow-eyed boy before them had his soul completely replaced.

Even Xu Feng, who now occupied this body, felt as though he was dreaming. He had somehow been reincarnated. Xu Feng vaguely remembered that a lightning bolt which was originally heading south had suddenly turned at an unbelievable angle and struck the brick he was holding. Then a strange, purple lightning flower had appeared, turning his entire body into light particles before he woke up in this world.

Although Xu Feng had been in this world for several hours, he still felt disoriented, wondering if he was dreaming. It wasn’t until the pain in his ears from the roar made him believe he had truly been reincarnated.

From the memories left in his mind, Xu Feng was furious with the heavens. The person whose body he had taken over was a servant, and this servant had just been caught spying on a beautiful woman. Seeing this courtroom-like scene gave Xu Feng a headache. His gaze finally settled on the girl in the center. This was when he realized why the timid former owner of the soul had dared to spy on her.

The girl was about sixteen or seventeen years old, with red lips and white teeth, wearing a plaid long dress. She was delicately beautiful, with a face as clear as a jade carving and a tall, slender figure. Her chest was slightly prominent, and her long legs were smooth and straight. Though slightly inexperienced, it was easy to see she would grow into a sensual beauty. For a boy of sixteen, such innocent allure was undoubtedly very tempting. They had always known Xu Feng as weak and tremulous even before common servants. When had he ever been so assertive in front of nobles?
