Chapter 13: Now or Never
Liam's POV
I got to received an email from my men, and to my surprise it is a f*****g bad news, never had imagine I'll be having this kind of news coming from them.
I was so damn down for the f*****g news.
"Damnit how could that thing happen?" I asked angrily too disappointed to the person in charge.
"We didn't see that coming, I
I guess the younger Padilla is actually a big threat," Luther answered.
"Then what are they doing there, f*****g Padilla's they should leave the Fernan's alone!"
"Don't be too overwhelm about this Liam, we should think of something about what just happened I don't actually know."
I left there and went to the gym, ai was so freaking frustrated that I need to loosen up a bit.
Fuck that Padilla he couldn't drag himself into such mess he was making his life in a nutshell. Damn. It's not that I care about that man but freak I can for his wife and children they were blood related to me. How the f**k the Padilla make their lives getting dragged into this mess.
"Liam," Ferrus called me.
"f**k that Padilla!" that's what I said pit of frustrations, he just chuckle.
"Don't be a p***y goddamn Liam, have you forgotten who is Padilla?" Ferrus speaks I just clenched my jaw, still frustrated by his action not consulting the Running Eagle.
"Whoever the f**k he was, I just can't take it. He freaking made his family get into trouble," I hissed and then get the beer he was holding.
"I know Padilla knows what he was doing, and do you this the Diamonds will let something bad happen to his family?" he said and then drink his beer, "I doubt that Liam, so get your f*****g ass of here and go talk to him, he was in the living room," Ferrus lasts words and then left me as he jumped on the pool. Another bastard dude.
When I saw him the only think I think of was my niece and my cousin so I hurriedly come near him to give him a goddamn punch.
"f**k you, that hurts," he said while holding his chin.
"f**k you too bastard, are you freaking out of your mind?" I asks him and gave him another punch, f**k deserve!
We ended up having sparring there. Neither me or him wants to get lose. No way I am freaking Liam Vasquez wasn't allowed to be lost in any game asshole. I kick his stomach and then wring his neck he just gave me his smirk and then punched me as well. We were already almost running around the living room to catch each other when we heard a old baritone voice.
"Children!" he shouted, f**k here he is again, The Don.
"Asshole what do you think are you two doing?" he asks again and no one dares to speak even the soldiers.
"Padilla, I don't want what you have done," he said and then gestured us to follow him.
We bumped each other's shoulders so we were about to punch each other again, but the baritone voice of the old man echoed again that made us stand still and follow him.
Don was giving him punishment by his words and Padilla listens as if he was tone deaf. Fucker now you were afraid for what you have just done. Fucker deserves that thing.
"Would you tell me your plans?"
"Don, I was not about to do such thing but my wife have been receiving tons of dead threats and it alarmed me. She doesn't know what have I done as well, f**k only for once I wanted to protect her and our child, After knowing the missions of Running Eagle I immediately interfere to do my duty, I don't care what the group might think of me the only thing in my head was to protect my family that's all."
"And you still broke the rule,"
"Fucker does she still receive death threats?" I asked Padilla and he shook his head. f**k I can not stand thinking that my cousin would received such ridiculous messages.
"Liam, I am allowing you to take over the next plan with a Padilla, children do your work good, understand?"
"Yes Don," we agreed to him and then went out of the room.
"Fucker you haven't told me that my cousin has been receiving such threats."
"Did you ask?" he said as he grinned at me. I just punched his face again, I am dead serious here and this fucker still wants to mess up.
When we reached down stairs I saw a f*****g familiar face. Wow Matteo is still alive!
"Great to know you are still alive Matteo!" I greeted him sarcastically and he just showed his middle finger.
"Fucker, I have heard the news, I am here to investigate."
"Dude!"
"Hey I am a doctor but yeah I studied uhm, Forensic science, I can study that," he still made himself available for the plan we just let him, we tell him to go to the nearest morgue to check on the dead body there.
"Liam, you should know that Fernan is not an easy mission," Padilla told me as he patted my shoulders I just smirked f**k Fernan's the Marion's also not an easy people but I made their family down.
"Don't compare them to the Marion's," he said what heck. How did he read my freaking mind!
"Fernan's has a big time lawyer family members not to mention their family prosecutors and the bussinessmen, Come to think of it," he said I know how big family they are but what the f**k.
"Padilla it is now or never, we should the risk now rather than crying for our love ones soon," I told him in my monotone voice.
We made ourselves available all throughout the planning process, From ditching the Fernan and taming the old man. That family is not just a pain in the business world but also in politics. So we need to take down their powers.
"Taking their powers down wasn't an easy way Liam," Ferrus commented I know he would say this. But have he forgotten the queen's deadly plans.
"I know, but we have queen's side and we can make this happen, if they know to play a game, then We'll do it as well," I told them and continued with my discussion about our plans.
Ferrus is so damn serious and keep questioning me, lucky enough that Padilla was there helping me justify things, I know it will be never easy for him But I must still try.
"It is now or never..." that's what we said as we close the deal.
Party at the bar, we.went to the partake our first plan to catch the old and the young Fernan.
While in the club there's a person caught my attention a girl wearing a tank top and a mini skirt dancing gently while opening her canned beer. Her hair is in a messy bun and she was laughing with her friends, From right when I was right now I can see her pointed nose and Rosy cheeks. Even her lips is so damn attractive. I got shocked when he faced my direction but her eyes weren't on me but f**k her visuals. Seems like an angel in the bar, I saw how she laughed and giggle with her friends. Fucker Liam get back to your senses! I punched my head when I realized that I have been staring at her for too long.
It is dangerous because my team might notice that I wasn't focusing in this mission of us. I tried focusing on other things but f**k my head has been thinking of that woman—Damn Ivy you can completely ruin my senses with your freaking visuals.
I can't damn focus right now. Only if Loffy wasn't your suitor I might courted you as well. What the f**k? Liam are you out of your mind. Damn Loffy, he is a damn womanizer he is a s*x addict and this Ivy who looks so innocent is his next target. f**k I guess I should court her instead. Damn I can't stand seeing her getting hurt by Loffy.
"Liam!" someone shouted at me that made me back to my senses.
"Are you not listening?" Ferrus asks while smirking, I just scratch the back of my head.
"Fucker, Liam they might get the old man but the crazy thing is that there are bouncers around the old man."
I looked at the old man Fernan and I was so shocked to realize that he was freaking surrounded by old dudes.
"We can make it dude," I told them and drink straight my tequila, f**k that tastes bad but yeah.
We waited for the perfect timing and I gestures them to start. While they were silently doing their jobs I called my friend who was a good IT guy who can alter and hide the scene they were making. After capturing the old and young Fernan. I told them some of us should stay in the bar for us not to be noticed.
I seated again in the couch while trying to search for that woman. I wore my Sunnie's just to hide my eyes trying to catch Ivy.
And there she is, getting tipsy and wasted. She looks cute, her messy bun becomes more messy and then her lipstick was now all over her cheeks. I guess she just kissed some random guys. I was about to go near her but Loffy catches her so I just left the bar to look for the old and young Fernan.
"The show must go on..."
Amid the chaos of my own world, an unexpected email from my team brought a cloud of bad news. Frustration surged through me like a torrential storm. My fists clenched, I cursed under my breath, struggling to comprehend the mess that had unfolded.
"How the hell did this happen?" I seethed, my disappointment and anger boiling over.
"It seems the younger Padilla has proven himself quite a challenge," Luther's voice replied, attempting to explain the situation.
"The Fernans are in the fray now," I growled, the name like venom on my tongue. The very thought of the Fernans being involved ignited a fire within me.
Luther's attempts to reassure me barely made a dent in my frustration. I stormed out of the room, my mind ablaze with thoughts of the mess that had been created. The gym called to me, a sanctuary where I could vent my pent-up emotions.
Inside the gym, I unleashed my fury upon the equipment, channeling my frustration into each punch, each swing. The thud of my fists against the heavy bag echoed my turmoil. The Padilla had thrown a wrench into our plans, and I was left grappling with the aftermath.
"Liam," Ferrus's voice cut through the chaos of my workout.
"f*****g Padilla," I spat, my irritation simmering beneath the surface.
"Don't let it consume you," Ferrus chided, his tone filled with a mix of amusement and exasperation.
"He dragged his family into this mess," I retorted, my fists still clenched.
"Padilla knows what he's doing," Ferrus countered, his voice holding an air of authority.
"He's putting his family at risk," I hissed, my frustration unyielding.
I grabbed a towel and wiped the sweat from my brow, my mind racing to find a solution to the tangled web before us. The Fernans were a formidable adversary, and their involvement added a layer of complexity that I had not anticipated.
As I walked away from the gym, Ferrus's voice echoed in my ears, reminding me that the Fernans were not to be underestimated. They had power, connections, and resources that could complicate our plans. But I was not one to back down from a challenge.
Back in the living room, I confronted Padilla with my anger, a torrent of words and punches exchanged between us. The frustration of the situation boiled over, and our sparring was a reflection of the turmoil within us. The old man's voice silenced our altercation, and we begrudgingly followed him, his authority undeniable.
Padilla's explanation and his admission of breaking the rules did little to quell my frustration. His desperation to protect his family was understandable, but his actions had set off a chain reaction that we could ill afford.
"Padilla, you're lucky I don't knock some sense into you," I muttered under my breath as we left the room.
With the Don's words still ringing in our ears, Padilla and I ventured into the night, the weight of our mission pressing heavily on our shoulders. Our shared goal propelled us forward, despite our differences and frustrations.
"Fernans aren't to be taken lightly," Ferrus reminded me, his words a sobering reality check.
"They won't deter us," I asserted, my determination unswayed.
The planning process was intense, our focus unwavering as we analyzed every detail and potential obstacle. The path ahead was treacherous, but with the Don's approval and our determination, we forged ahead.
The night of the operation arrived, tension thick in the air as we executed our plan to capture the Fernans. The club's vibrant atmosphere contrasted sharply with the gravity of our mission. I surveyed the scene, my senses sharp, my mind focused.
In the midst of the chaos, a figure caught my attention—a girl with an air of innocence, standing out amidst the revelry. My gaze lingered on her, the chaos of the operation momentarily forgotten. Her laughter and joy were like a balm to my tumultuous thoughts.
"Fucker, focus," Ferrus's voice snapped me back to reality, and I refocused my attention on the task at hand.
The night unfolded with calculated precision, each move carefully orchestrated. As the operation progressed, I found myself stealing glances at the girl, Ivy, amidst the chaos of the club. Her carefree demeanor was a stark contrast to the tension that surrounded us.
A fleeting desire to approach her tugged at my thoughts, but I quickly squashed it. There was no room for distractions, not when our mission hung in the balance.
When the operation reached its climax, the Fernans were apprehended, their power temporarily disrupted. Our victory was a testament to our teamwork and determination, but the battle was far from over.
As the night came to a close, I allowed myself a moment to reflect. Ivy's image lingered in my mind, a reminder of the world beyond our mission. But the reality of our situation was a harsh reminder that danger and uncertainty were always lurking.
"The show must go on," I murmured, my gaze steady as I turned my attention to the road ahead.
