Sammy Pov
After I turn off my alarm, stretch and get out of bed, i head over to the bathroom, do my business, have a shower, brush my teeth, and get dressed, im wearing dark blue skinny jeans, black t-shirt, black leather jacket, and ankle boots, i put light makeup on and then i straighten my hair, ready to go get a job, i head out of my apartment and go to see daniel at the restaurant, as he printed out some of my CV’s for me, as soon as i walk in i see him, he has a wide smile on his face “ what are you smiling at” “ haven't you heard” i look at him confused “ heard what” “ Grey got sacked by our CEO, he was here yesterday and saw how he treated you, and he wants you to be our new general manager” i'm shocked, i can't process this, i look at daniel “ what?” he giggles “ your our general manager” “ what but… the…. I'm confused” he puts his arm around my shoulder and smiles “ the CEO is in the office, he wanted me to tell you that he would like to speak with you” he gives me a wink, i'm even more confused now.
I head to the office and knock on the door, “ come in Sammy” wait i recognise that voice, as i open the door i speak “ hey, you wanted to speak with me” i stop moving, my mouth drops open when i see lucas sitting in the chair, he smiles “ oh my god… your” he puts his hand up to stop me “Close the door please” i close the door and turn to him, he continues “ im sorry, i should have told you yesterday, i saw how you was being treated and even though i stood up for you, I don't want that behaviour to happen here ever again,but what I do want to know is why you didn't tell HR, no one should be treated that way especially you” i look at him “ who would believe me? I'm just a waitress, he's the general manager, he can talk his way out of anything and he is obsessed with me, but i couldn't leave because i needed the money, but i wasn't going to be treated that way in front of you or your friends or whoever they were, and i shouldn't have even spoken to you how i spoke to you yesterday and then… oh no at the bar” my eyes went wide and I put my hands over my face to cover it, I take a breath and look up “ im sorry” he smiles “no need to apologize,i'm glad you can stick up for yourself that's what i want in my staff, i don't want them to take crap from anyone or even a... what did you call him again a jerkface wasn't it?” i smile and nod “ also you apologised and offered to pay for our meal, which by the way i let him pay for” i laugh a little “ you are what i want in a general manager, so Sammy will you accept the offer of general manager, and you won't have to worry about money troubles anymore as i will personally help you with that” i'm shocked “ you don't have to do that luc….sir, i am managing fine, thank you but i would love to accept the offer” i smile “ you can all me lucas just don't tell the others” i smile and nod “ Also sammy, i would like to meet tonight and talk about the duties and responsible if thats ok?” i nod “ come back around 10pm” i nod “ thank you sir....Lucas” he smile and hold his hand out for a handshake, i take his hand a shake it we are both looking into eachother eyes, i feel butterflies everytime he touches me, he lets go “ i'll see you tonight Sammy, oh and you look good today by the way” i blush “ thank you”.
I head out of the office and lean against the wall, f**k did that happen, he fired him and now im the manager, s**t. I go to the bar and tell Daniel what happened.
Lucas Pov
I let out a breath that i didn't know i was holding, she look stunning when she came in here, just thinking about her gives me butterflies, but i know we cant be together, im her boss and she probably doesn't see me that way, but i just cant get her out of my head, i try and get on the paperwork i have stacked on the desk, but she has flooded my brain, i need a drink, i head out of the office and slowly head to the bar, i hear her, talking to daniel “ you like him don't you?” I sigh, “ I can't like him, he's our boss, but he is very good looking” I smile to myself, “ what if he wasn't our boss?” “ maybe i mean i get butterflies everytime i see him, i never get that” daniel chuckles “ you have a crush on him” she hits daniel in the arm “ ow, what was that for” she glares at him “ you know why danny boy, it won't happen anyway, i mean look at him, he's like super good looking and an bloody ceo, i'm just plain and boring... anyway” that's when i walk up to the bar, they both look at me “ have i got something on my face?” sammy looks at daniel, daniel looks at her, daniel speaks “ no sir, you don't, we was just talking” “ oh about what” i already know but i want to see if daniel will tell me, “ just that sammy thinks your hot thats all'' and he runs away, sammy is frozen in place, i turn to her and whisper in the ear “ you think i'm hot?” she slowly nods “ i'll let you into a secret then, i would be a very lucky man to have a woman like you on my arm, sammy, your not plain or boring either” her eyes grew wide, she knows i heard what they talked about and i just confirmed it, she swallows hard, i smile “ i'll see you tonight for the meeting” with that i walk away.
