Crossing The Line With You (COMPLETED)

Chapter Ten

** A MONTH AGO **

'Tommy, we found Ms. Whitman', John said.

'Verified?' Tommy asked. John nod. 'I need to report to Ms. Elliot.'

'Tommy, don't. Mr. Wang instructed me to tell you that from this day, we keep this to us first until we are sure that Ms. Whitman is safe. Mr. Wang is worried that if it comes out that Ms. Elliot is related to her both of them will be in danger. As long as Natasha is on the loose, we cannot guarantee their safety.' John said.

'I understand. Any other update?' Tommy asked.

'We noticed two guys been lurking around Ms. Whitman's office since yesterday and our boys are keeping an eye on them for any sudden movement. We also managed to put a bug on Ms. Whitman's phone and we know that she received a brief call earlier from her sister but the line was immediately cut.'

'So they found her, f**k!' Tommy said.

'We are on our way now to Ms. Whitman's apartment, our two guys are already there. They think that something is up tonight.' Continued John. They stopped the car outside a ten-stories apartment building.

'The last report was Ms. Whitman is on her way to her apartment and should be arriving soon. And so far no movement has been reported on her floor. She stays in unit 8008.'

Around midnight. 'Sir, we need backup!' a voice from the radio.

'Tommy. We need to go.' John said. They rushed to the eight floor to Meghan's unit. The door is open and there was commotion inside. Six men are overpowering two of John's team. The two intervened, pulling two of the men away. Tommy throws a punch on one of the guy and a kick on the other. John is choking the other.

One of the guys tried to pull a gun and Tommy managed to kick it losing the guys grip. They are all throwing punches and kicks on each other when another group of men came.

'These are the police! All of you on your knees, hands in the air!' The officers said pointing their guns. Below can now here a number of sirens and ambulance. The neighboring units has also alerted the police when they heard and notice something is up on Meghan's unit.

'Ms. Whitman! Please officer we need to find Ms. Whitman!' Tommy called.

'She's here sir!' One of the officer responds. Meghan is on the floor, lips busted and some bruises on her arms and forehead. The officers gathered all the evidences and brought the 10 guys in custody. Meghan was brought in the hospital.

With Gilberts connection they managed to block the news and hid Meghan's and his boys connection with the event. Gilbert found out that those men who hurt Meghan was wanted by Interpol and have been under surveillance. They tried to get Meghan's signature to transfers all her money under her sister's name. Gilbert was informed that Natasha Bradwhick was also captured in Paris, she was in the hot list but because she changed her looks the police were temporarily misled n her real identity.

Meghan was unconscious but stable for two days. When the hospital informed Gilbert that she was awake, he rushes to the hospital.

'Mr. Wang, what are you...How come..?' Meghan is not sure what to say.

'Calm down, Meghan! I will explain everything.' Gilbert tried to calm her. He pulled a chair besides Meghan's bed.

'How are you feeling?' He asked Meghan.

'I little sore, but I'm fine.' Meghan said.

'You know Meghan, since the day you left, Samantha did not stop looking for you.'

'Ms. Elliot? Why?' Meghan asked.

'I think a part of you knows and understands why.' Gilbert replied. Meghan stayed quiet.

'When I found out about it, I told her I will help her. I had my boys helped Tommy, he's Sam's personal bodyguard and have been searching for you for months.' Pointing at Tommy who is not standing at the end of the room. 

'It took as a while to finally find you as we were misled by your sister's look and she's been using your name, we thought she was you.' Meghan understood why, she looks exactly like her.

'I am glad we found you in time before something worsts happened.' Gilbert smiled and sense the worry in Meghan's eyes.

'Your sister was captured and in police custody since yesterday, I don't think she will be out soon as she has a lot cases she needs to deal with, ranges from forgery, theft, drugs and I don't know what else.' Gilbert sighs.

'The documents they forced you to sign, I took care of it.  Your trustee will be in contact with you, they were informed of the situation.  Just worry about your recovery for now. And Meghan...' Gilbert stopped.

'Sam is here. I have not told her anything yet. I feel guilty for hiding this to her, but I need to make sure that it is safe for you and for her. I think I understand why you left that day.' Gilbert continued.

'Mr. Wang?' Meghan said. 'Gilbert, no need for formality.' Gilbert smiled.

'Mr. Wang, I mean Gilbert. Can we keep it that way for now? Don't tell Sam about what happened. When I am ready I will come to her.' Meghan said.

'Ok Meghan, but please don't take long. She's like a sister to me and I hate to see her suffering.  She's been since you left.' Gilbert said. 'I talked to the doctor and he said you can be discharged after a day. I think you should take a leave of absence from your volunteer work to recover faster. I can let you stay in one of my vacation houses. Any place you prefer?' Gilbert asked.

'Thank you Gilbert, but I think I know where I want to go.' Meghan replied.

'Ok, I leave it to you to decide. But I am afraid I will still need one of my guys follow you. It will be temporary until we are sure that it is perfectly safe for you and Sam.'  Gilbert told Meghan not giving her option to decline.

'Ok Gilbert. Thank you for everything.' Gilbert left. Tommy followed but stayed outside.

After getting released from the hospital, Meghan took an indefinite leave from work, the office understood and told her to take her time but she can come back anytime.

Meghan booked a flight back to the island. She saw Tommy a few sits from her and it calmed her. She's still having nightmare about the night when those men barged into her apartment.

** MEGHAN **

Her bruises have completely healed. Tommy has left the island two weeks ago with the instruction of Gilbert. He was able to convince Sam to let Tommy focused on his main job which is to be her personal bodyguard.  Tommy was replaced by another guy name Bruce. 

Meghan knowing that Tommy will always see Sam, she asked Tommy a favor before he leaves.  

'Tommy, can you let me know how is Ms. Elliot from time to time?' Meghan asked him.

'This is against my sworn commitment to Ms. Elliot but I know who are you to her so I will.'  Tommy said and smiled.

'Thank you so much Tommy!' Meghan replied.

Since she came back in the island Meghan enjoyed a stroll at the beach before sunset.  She enjoyed chatting and seeing some familiar faces.

"What a wonderful sight.' She whispers looking at the setting sun. 'I hope Sam can see this.  

She got a picture message from Tommy.  It shows Sam holding two kids on both sides smiling, facing another woman.  She felt a pinch in her heart.

'Ding!' another message from Tommy.

'That's Mr. Wang's wife and kids by the way.  We just arrived at the island.' says the message followed by a smiley emoticon.

'God, Tommy!' she gasps. 'She's here!!???' Meghan unsure of what to feel.
