Lily's POV
Brad had left.
I turned to Leo. “You looked pretty intense just now. It sounded like you were serious when you made that threat.”
Leo chuckled. “I’ve watched my fair share of gangster movies.”
I teased him, “Were any of them starring Julian?”
Leo pulled a face and said, “I’d recommend using him as a cautionary tale for bad movies.”
Oh, poor Julian.
Leo placed a glass of water and my phone on the table in front of me. “Try to get some rest, miss. Call me if you need anything.”
I picked up my phone, startled by the sheer number of missed calls. Brad’s name, Leo’s—both were on the list. I suddenly remembered how bossy I’d sounded when speaking to Leo earlier and quickly apologized before he walked away. “Sorry for the way I talked to you just now.”
