Lily’s POV
“Sorry!” I quickly took the shoes from him, embarrassed to the point that my entire body started to feel hot.
Fortunately, he didn’t ask any more questions and returned to the car after me.
“Where are you going?” he asked after the car had been driving for a while.
“I’m going home,” I told him.
“Where’s your home?” he asked.
I froze.
The car was moving fast, and once we left the tree-lined road, I could see the ever-glowing lights of Neliorea in the distance.
Neliorea was a big city, easy to get lost in, but I never imagined that today, I wouldn’t even be able to answer where my own home was.
