The concert started just in time; I needed a moment to calm down, remembering that my purpose for coming was merely to see Lily and tell her that I loved her.
I stood directly beside Lily, but she ignored me, focused on the performers on stage. Grayson was on her other side, and we all pretended to be absorbed in the music, as if he shared my passion for it and the memories of Lily's shine.
I never managed to get tickets to her superstar shows; I suspected that someone was deliberately blocking me, but I had no proof.
