June: Strawberry Moon

Sebastian had mind linked Silvano after he had blocked him for nagging about his mate.

“Silvano, I need you to dig into the businesses of this city. My mate had a faint smell of Cirino. He must have a business here. How could we not have known that?”

“Impossible, we had checked the history of this city when we built the businesses here. There are no vampires here. But I’ll check around Alpha. Will you be okay or should I send the twins to guard you?” Silvano mind linked back

“Send the twins where I am and have them inspect the area. If there’s any vampire scent around here then I will bring my mate to my place” This confirmed Silvano’s instincts. His Alpha has finally found his mate.

“Congratulations Alpha Sebastian. We cannot wait to meet her; the twins are on their way”

“Thank you and Silvano, no mind linking tonight. Direct all issues to you for now, mind link me if it’s very important.” Sebastian replied and blocked all distractions from his senses

“You are deep in thought or you just love the coffee I recommended?” Aine asked Sebastian.

“I love it. I will get this coffee from now on” He smiled at Aine. He can’t believe it. He finally found her. It’s still a big surprise after a thousand years. “If this is where you live, how come you were supposed to cross at the other street?” He inquired, remembering that they bumped at the crossing.

“I wanted to go to the park and unwind a bit. That’s what I usually do after a lengthy client meeting.” Aine answered while swirling the coffee stirrer. She was looking far away, her mind wandering. “I don’t know why I’m even talking to you. I feel like I have known you for a long time. It’s like having a long lost memory come back, only that I can’t remember anything.” Her gaze went back to Sebastian’s. He was intently staring at her, looking at her lips. He wanted to kiss her again, but Koa is getting so difficult to control that he might shift in the coffee shop.

“Would you like to go to the park and unwind?” Sebastian asked. He had to take his mind off things.

“Yes. Will you come with me?” she wistfully asked.

“Oh my f**k, why am I asking a stranger to come with me. f**k f**k fuck.” This internal monologue is killing me.

“I would love to spend time with you at the park” Sebastian replied. He noticed that for every reply Aine would give him, she’d be quiet, and her eyes would glaze over.

Aine pulled Sebastian’s hand and led him towards the park, she was doing this like she was in a trance. They walked in silence. Aine wanted to see the moon and Sebastian was observing her. He could feel the twins near him, trying to check any scent that might resemble vampires. Aine, by habit sat at her favorite bench where the moon shines over. Moonlight just settled on that particular bench and Aine had always had that spot.

Meanwhile for the first time in a thousand years, Sebastian was panicking. He’s having difficulties in controlling Koa, sitting on that spot with the moonlight will bring Koa over the edge. The light that Aine loves from the moon was pure energy from the moon goddess. Sebastian saw now that the moon goddess has watched over Aine for a long time. The moon’s light over her body was the goddess’ energy giving Aine protection and revitalizing her human soul.

“Come sit by me Sebastian, you would love the feeling here.” Aine said while patting the empty seat beside her.

“Koa please, if you come out now, we will lose her again. Do you want that?” Sebastian is arguing with his wolf

“We must mark and mate with her now or we will lose her again, I will mark her and make her mine” Koa replied.

Sebastian can feel Koa’s strength overcoming his. His wolf hasn’t been out in months.

“Sebastian is something wrong?” Aine asked as she stood up and walked towards him. She reached for his face and for some reason he had lowered his face to hers. Just barely touching her lips. “Sebastian, please” she whispered, and she closed the space between them as she kissed his lips.

He felt so right. She wanted more and she was scared of herself and everything that she was thinking. She let him slide his tongue inside her mouth, moaning as he kept kissing her deeper. She could feel him getting hard and she wanted him. She had to break contact and gasp for air. Sebastian still held her close, “Come with me, I need you” he whispered.

And all she could muster up in reply was “Yes”

She was zoning out, so many feelings were coming at her all at the same time. She just noticed that she was already at the back of Sebastian’s car while he was busy talking to someone. She can’t even remember how she got there. She can’t understand what Sebastian was talking about to whoever was on the phone and she can’t let go of his hand. She held it tighter and that’s when Sebastian looked at her and kissed her again. After that, everything became a blur.
