Doctors and nurses ran around past the dozens of patients that flooded the corridors. Det. Cindy groaned when she woke up in the hospital bed that morning, still groomed in her hospital gown and a bandage wrapped around her arm. She yawned, still groggy with sleep. He head felt heavy, the sedatives still running in her system. She hated how weak and starved and stuck and sick she felt. She wanted to get out of that place. It was making her sicker.
