Chapter 20 “Well, we can’t arrest Angelo, I’m afraid,” Leone announced as he joined Mark and Paul in the emergency room forty-five minutes later. By then, Paul’s wounds—one flesh wound to his arm, the other a fairly minor one in his thigh—had been cleaned and stitched. “Why the hell not?” Mark spat out angrily. Leone smiled slightly. “It’s hard to arrest a dead man.” “Oh hell.” Mark didn’t feel any real remorse about that, as much as he knew he should. After what Angelo had put him through, he was just glad he wouldn’t have to face the bastard again. Still…“Damn it.
