Pyro nods sagely, as if Sloan being sleep was the answer to the universe. Josh just copied Penny.
"Are you my dad now?" She whispers.
Let me rephrase that, she whisper yells.
Okay, just yells. See, Pyro doesn't know how to whisper without yelling.
Don't ask me why, she's just as weird as her mom.
"Well..." I trail, not sure what to say.
But then she looks up at me with those green eyes, glistening with tears, her lower lip wobbling.
I open and close my mouth, looking around for escape. In the end, I surrender.
"Y-Yeah, Pyro. I'm your dad now."
She cheers, smiling hugely at me, I smile back, but I know Sloan's going argue me to death over this.
