Chapter Thirteen
** A few days later **
Things have been so awkward at home to the point I had been staying at Billy's for a few days. I loved his parents and they seemed to love me. It was a nice change but, Mum had called me last night and said that I needed to be home today because something about Ava wanting to take us to dinner. Billy wasn't invited but apparently Chad was.
I said I didn't want to, but she said it would be nice having a family dinner, that ''grandma'' would have loved it if she was here. I felt like she was using grandma as a guilt trip to get me to go... and it worked.
She was right though, if she was here, she'd have loved it. She loves all the family stuff like that.
