Chapter Five: New Feelings

“Madeline!” Naomi screeches from the other side of the pond with Hallie right behind her. Gabriel, Kai and I turn our attention to my step mother as she stomps angrily over to where we are standing. Gabriel releases my chin, his hand falling to his side as he stands in front of me, blocking Naomi. She stands breathlessly in front of Gabriel with Hallie not far behind.

“I am so sorry for my maid’s reckless behavior.” She grovels, bowing low to the princes. “She is ignorant with formalities. She is just a hybrid.” She seethes, glaring at me out of Gabriel’s view.

“Yes, we are so sorry!” Hallie sobs, bowing in front of Kai who looks bored. Gabriel seems annoyed with Naomi and Hallie’s arrogance and shakes his head at them.

“Do not fret, we have taken interest with Madeline.” Gabriel soothes, pulling me up to stand next to him. “If you do not mind, we would like to have some private time with her.” He begins to lead me towards the exit of the garden, with Kai following behind us.

“Yes, Prince Gabriel.” Naomi complies, staring red faced at us as Hallie stands open-mouthed next to her as they watch us leave. I can see Hallie turning to Naomi, begging her mother to do something.

I follow Gabriel as he leads me into the pack house and towards their private suites. The halls are empty as every wolf is in the banquet hall celebrating. Kai is right behind us, his hands in his pockets as he looks around. Soon we reach the suite, and they pull me in gently. My heart races as Gabriel leads me over to the couch in the main room. I sit and fold my hands in my lap, my head lowered to avoid eye contact.

“Please look at me beautiful,” Gabriel whispers, his delicious scent fills my nostrils. I hesitantly look up to meet his face, nervous that he could hear my heart pounding in my chest. Kai disappears into the bathroom as Gabriel peers into my face. “Madeline.” He coos, bringing his face closer to mine. “Please talk to me. Tell me where it hurts.”

I blush a deep shade of red and barely whisper, “I- I’m okay. He tuts and moves his lips closer to mine, his breath hot on my face. I freeze at the anticipation and can’t help but hope he kisses me. Much to my disappointment, he brushes his lips against my cheek. A deep rumble radiating from his muscular chest. He gently moves his lips to the side of my face, kissing the back of my ear. I flinch from his breath tickling my neck, causing him to chuckle.

He takes a deep breath in through his nose, taking in my scent as he moves his lips the spot where my neck meets my shoulder. “You smell like flowers and sunshine.” He breathes huskily. Goose pimples spread across my skin and I can’t help the gasp the leaves my lips. He pulls away slowly, gazing into my eyes. His eyes growing dark as his wolf begins to take over. My heart feels like it’s going to beat right out of my chest.

“What are you doing to me.” He groans and takes a step back from me, pinching the bridge of his nose. He turns away, walking towards one of the private rooms just as Kai walks over from the bathroom with a med kit in his hands. His scent of ocean breeze and musk filled my nostrils as he kneels in front of me.

He gingerly takes my hand in his and begins cleaning up the wound. My body heats under his gentle touch, and I watch as he bandages my palms. I can’t help but gasp as he brings my hand up to his mouth and places a soft kiss on my bandaged palm.

“Mate.” He whispers, moving his lips down my arm. He stops halfway, blowing lightly against the soft spot on the crease of my elbow. I take a sharp breath in, chills run up my arm. I stare into his darkening eyes, butterflies dancing in my stomach. He pulls away, turning his attention to Gabriel who walks briskly out of the room with clothes in his arms.

“I know you probably have clothes in your own room,” Gabriel rubs the back of his head, his cheeks turning a light pink. “But I would rather you not leave this suite.” I stare at him wide eyed, confused that the twins were so attentive to my needs. I was a lowly maid, a slave to the pack. How could the two Alpha Princes see anything worth pursuing in someone like me.

“Please.” He whispers, handing me the stack. I smile lightly and nod, reaching out to take the clothes. He smiles brightly, watching me, “You can use our bathroom to change and shower if you please, unless you would like to change right here?” His smile turns into a smirk as he takes a step towards me. He bends over slightly, his face getting close to mine. “I wouldn’t mind” he whispers, staring at my lips.

I shake my head vigorously, my eyes almost popping out of their sockets. “I- I- “ I stutter, tripping over the words I want to say. He pulls away, amusement in his eyes as he watches me. “I- can use the- the bathroom.” I look down at the floor and scurry to the bathroom. I stop before closing the door and look up at the twins who are both watching me intently. I blush a dark shade of red before bowing and gently closing the door behind me.

I step into the steamy shower, my thoughts drifting to the twins. There is a nagging pressure building between my legs at the thought of their lips on my body. A sensation foreign to me as I focus on the hot water slowly dribbling down my body. The princes were my mates, I couldn’t help but imagine their lips on other parts of my body. The thought alone caused a small gasp to slip from me. My hand naturally moves to grip my breast, slowly moving down to between my legs.

I groan as my fingers touch my bulging nub, circling it. I jolt from the sparks of lust shooting through my body. I begin to move my fingers lower when the door to the bathroom fly open. I gasp and move against the wall of the shower, staring at the door as the shadows of two figures enters the room, shutting the door behind them.

“You’re going to be the death of us, little one.” Gabriel growls, opening the shower door and revealing my naked body to them. I cover myself with my hands, embarrassed of my too skinny body. Their eyes go completely black as they look me over. Gabriel smirks as Kai bites his bottom lip. Now I’m in trouble.
