1. No Talking

525 Words
In a matter of two weeks, Felicity’s life went from simple to hectic and then back to simple again. She had met her fated mate, only to be rejected by him, all for the sake of a merger – one could call him a greedy good-for-nothing alpha – and then she fell for Kevin, her sexy, former dance teacher, before it was her turn to reject the damned Eric Montenegro after his mate-to-be decided to it was okay to kill her and Kevin. Insane, right? Nevertheless, Felicity knew that choosing to be with the one and only Kevin Knight would make many women jealous. She just didn’t know how many, or how far they could go to ruin their blooming relationship. Although she had never loved a man as much as she did Kevin, and never felt as loved either… at the end of the day, she was still nothing but an inexperienced virgin. What did she know about love? Surely, there was more to it than butterflies dancing in her belly, and all those crazy but oh so delightful reactions he got from her with just one heated look! “What are you thinking about?” Think of the devil, she inwardly smirked. She looked up from her hands which rested in her lap, and stared at him. Good god, he was handsome. With his dirty blonde hair, and his beautiful gray eyes in which she would happily drown, there was no denying his good looks. “I was thinking about you, ugly,” she teased, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. “Oh, what about me, beautiful?” He asked as he approached her. He was focused on the task, of giving her nice pleasurable goose-bumps, it would seem. And lo and behold, he was successful. “What did I ever do to deserve you?” She shrugged, shaking her head from left to right and then back. “I’m the one who should feel undeserving of you, sweetheart,” he said softly as he leaned down so his lips hovered over hers. She shivered at the sensual touch of their lips. They had yet to be intimate, but that didn’t mean they didn’t kiss – they kissed a lot. He pushed her softly on the bed upon which she had been sitting, and she allowed him. And that was how they went from talking about serious and important matters to sensually and feverishly making-out in the bedroom of his flat in Los Angeles on the very evening of their arrival. Sure, she wanted to talk. They needed to talk some more about their decision to be together… If only one more time. But that could wait. For as long as his lips pressed against hers, and his body against hers, she could allow herself to forget about the possibility of him finding his mate in the near future. She could worry about it some other time. Right now, all that mattered was this – his kisses and his caresses. And if push came to shove, and that was all she’d get as a memory, she’d be one happy she-wolf.
