The party sent out to Underworld had returned sooner than expected. Their looks could not tell what happened but their uneasiness could be felt. They relayed their report to their King and Queen. The kingdom lay in ruins. The population was nearly flattened. Those that were left were either crippled, had ran mad or had becomes depressed. The castle had fallen. Their King nor his children were anywhere to be found. Houses, homes and businesses lay in ruins as corpses did too. They ranged from residents all the way to visitors. No one had been exempted or perhaps given special treatment. Nobles and common men all met the same fate. None of them could talk or tell what had happened and those that did never made any sense. They talked of a darkness that had eyes and ears. It did not matter
