When morning came, everyone rose up and their day went on as previously planned. No one took notice of the empty castle. No one knew of the strange things that had happened the previous night. None of them knew of the missing people and no one could confirm just how many.
They were not ignorant but, just not attentive enough. As they worked, they could see soldiers posted at the castle gates. Someone would occasionally pass by one of the giant windows and outside as well. But what was different was not how they looked but their movements.
