They stood on opposite sides of the window. Of course, Achlysa could not see what was outside but she could sense their entity’s oozing bloodlust all the way to her bones. She shivered. The number outside wasn’t that vast but they had taken control over everything. Bendra wondered how that had happened. He looked further beyond the group of people outside.
The gates were left unguarded. The streets were empty but something felt off. How come nobody came out? Where were the guards? Where were the backup in such cases?
