14. TRUTH SERUM:PART ONE.  For some reason or the other, Audrey knew that what Ralph had mentioned was meant for her. She still did not know why though. And as she thought of this, she remembered explaining to Shawn about the trigger king. She was sure that this was the first time her hearing this. So why did she know it? And in such detail as well? Ralph’s body had gone limp after that. He fell into instant sleep. How could he not? They still had no idea what he had been through and asking him now would be pointless. Shawn carried him to his room. While he left he said that he would watch over him just in case what he said would come to pass. It would never hurt to be careful.  Audrey left for her room as well. She was not in the mood to meet her parents. Her instincts instructed her that this would be the best for now. Her walk felt like it took ages as the fatigue she had been holding back finally had a chance to settle. Now that she thought about everything that had occurred, she realized she did not know what features of Herr had changed.  However, that could wait a while longer. She was till not sure if she wanted to know that now. Millim had left her. She no longer felt her presence. She was the only one Audrey could turn to when she had questions. And Millim would answer them willingly. Unlike the people around her who hid everything from her. Audrey felt like she had been tossed around for far too long and she wanted to find out what it was that the world tried so hard to hide from her.  She opened the doors to her old room. Nothing in it had changed nor touched, literally. Audrey wondered why. Couldn’t the maids open and clean her room once in a while? Choosing not to cause a scene, she closed the doors and clapped twice. Everything before her came to life. The dust particles flew out of the window as the cool night breeze blew in The clothes she had left lying around, floated themselves to her wardrobe. The books on her shelves rearranged themselves. The lights became brighter as the cobwebs were swept by the brooms. And her nightgown presented itself before her bowing. It was in her best color. She snapped her figures and immediately changed into them.  Audrey lazily walked to her bed and laid her head on her fluffed pillows. Her fatigue completely took over and she plunged into a sea of slumber.  Her eyes opened and she found herself before a round table. The faces before her were unfamiliar. They were discussing something of importance in hashed tones. Some of the people present looked at her in disgust while others simply tried to ignore her presence. Audrey did not know how she got there. What she need, was information.    While she was working the courage to approach a young man who was closer to her, the doors to the room were opened. The manner was neither formal nor informal but, brutal. Behind the two large doors, a little girl was dragged in. Her hands and legs were in chains. She had two warriors propping her frail body. She was the dumped before the table.  She did not make a sound. Even when one of the warriors spat in her face and kicked her. She only lifted herself and wiped her face. She then proceeded to lift her face. Audrey immediately recognized her. It was Millim. She immediately rushed toward her shouting out her name. No one in the room reacted to her outburst.  “They can neither hear nor see you. This is part of our memory.” A voice behind her said.  Audrey turned to face the older version of Millim. She could understand if this was a memory but what of this was hers? She looked around keenly one more time. Everything went on as if she was not there. The realized all the round table members were men. They were angrily throwing words at young Millim who only looked at them expressionless.  “Our memory?” Audrey voiced.  The older Millim appeared beside her and demanded she watch. Audrey turned her attention to the scene before her. Her eyes scanned the room and every individual present, mastering each of their faces. When her eyes landed on the young Millim, she noted a slight difference. The Millim she knew had red eyes. Yet, the Millim before her had one red eyes and one blue one.  One of the men slammed his hand on the table and shouted at the top of his voice. His words echoed in the room silencing anyone who heard it. He declared the death of the trigger king. The rest nodded their heads on unison. He later moved on to state Millim’s atrocities.  Young Millim though being treated as a demon aided one Sir Ewald, who was believed to be the trigger king, in an attack against the other clans. They stole gold, killed thousands and freed the dead souls captured. There were more the man wanted to say but he stopped short when a laughter erupted in the whole room.  Millim was cracking her ribs as each an every accusation was made against her. One of the warriors who had brought her in approached her. He did this while unsheathing his sword. Midway, sharp spikes sprouted from the floor, slicing him up instantly. Seconds later, his body burned to ashes. Everyone stopped whatever it was they were doing.  Silence filled the room. Horror creeped inside them. The air grew colder. Their seats grew hotter while the warriors faces had sweat flowing in streams. Some were sure their eyes had tricked them but did not dare move. One thought was in their minds. They were wrong, they were all wrong. They had not caught the accomplice of the trigger king but the trigger king herself. Young Millim smiled intimidating them further.
