Shawn had been expecting more of a reaction than the one he got. Bendra simply stared at him like he had lost his marbles. To someone else, Bendra’s face would be perceived as emotionless but since they were childhood friends, Shawn clearly saw through it. His shoulders slumped in defeat as he let out a disappointing sigh. He looked at his friend one more time but he did not get it at all. Shawn was expecting something of the sort but it was still very disappointing and dissatisfying. He let go of Bendra’s shoulders and began walking toward the gates.
