I finish the letter I"m writing and drop it into the out-tray on my desk, glad to be done with it. I hate having to deal with the Temple of Amun, they"re always demanding something, and it"s nearly always more control and power over the other temples. I think they"re still in denial about the fact that Ma"at"s cult is the one with the most power now. I don"t know why they keep asking us for the increased control, they know we"re not allowed to directly interfere with the temples themselves, the crown doesn"t even get a say in who gets elected as High Priest, though I suppose we can influence it, and we can always give gifts of land and riches to temples who we wish to placate.
