Chapter 3 High Shool Days Freshman Year

(Anna): I wasn't sure how high school was going to go for me I wasn't the most popular or pretty but I had my best friend Hannah. We both wanted to try out for the cheer squad who knows we could make it if not there was always sophomore year. As we walk in the doors of our new school Hannah and I are in awe its huge and more than a thousand students walk the halls. There was one guy who caught my eye I've never seen him before he must have been new to the area. Tall brown hair blue eyes and a noticeable scar above his left eye, he was wearing a football jersey stating he was on the football team here. I couldn't take my eyes off him until I hear Hannah say my name Anna, earth to Anna. she says while walking to our first class. Sorry I tell her as we make our way to English class.

(Jackson) There is nothing like being a freshman on the varsity football team as the quarterback. Usually freshman don't make it this will be the first time in fifteen years that it has happened. The first day was pretty calm normal first day things but first period English had me in a daze, there was a girl I think her name was Anna was curiously looking at me. She was gorgeous but it showed she didn't think so it was noticeable. By the end of the day I had four classes with her and it was time for practice, today was different there was also cheer tryouts going on near the track. As the team hit the field for warm ups I look over and I see her warming up for tryouts. Me being who I am I walked over to her, Anna right? she looked at me a little confused and the words rolled out. Good luck today I know you'll do great! As I turned around to hit the field I hear a slight Thank you come from her, I turned around No problem gorgeous. Her face lit up like the northern sky I knew no one had ever said it to her before by the look on her face. As practice wound down the girls weren't done so a few of us guys sat on the bleachers and watched Anna hadn't gone yet I watched the whole time some of the girls really weren't that good, but her and her friend were up next. As we sat there and watched everyone was in awe their performance was phenomenal they were the only two that had everyone hollering at what an amazing job they did. When they were finished the guys and I went to change hoping I would find her after they were done.

(Anna) We were on the track getting ready and I hear my name I turn around and it's him. I stop in my tracks when he says Good luck I know you will do great. The words thank you slipped out of my mouth and before I could say anything else he was headed to the field to practice. We watched as about 20 girls before us cheer we were the only two doing a partner audition. Some of the girls were alright and some needed a lot of work, I was so nervous about us going we had two more before us. When the last girl went we got up and walked down to the track and when I looked up a bunch of the football players were watching even Jackson. It made Me super nervous to cheer infront of him but even if I did make the team I would do it every Friday night. I sucked it up and Hannah and I cheered our hearts out and the way everyone cheered for us made me feel like this was our chance to be something in high school. When we finished our routine Hannah and I packed our bags and headed to the front of the school where my mom would be there to get us. On out way out the doors I knew we were going to conqure this year.

As high school began and everyone found their cliques.
