Chapter 2 Jackson

521 Words
I was nervous to be back in my home town it had been 10 years since I stepped foot here. I wasn't sure if I would see her my beautiful Anna not after what my parents made me do right before my sixteenth birthday. You see I'm a wearwolf and on our sixteenth birthday you begin your change to full wolf form. My parents made us leave a week before my birthday to the pack house I never understood why until the day I changed. Anna was my love my first love and leaving her without a word broke me. My parents on the other hand hated that she wasn't like us, humans and wolves couldn't be together and never would. They relocated us to the pack house in a town right outside the woods where only our pack knew where it was. I ended up finishing school online and graduated early. When they past about six months ago I decided to relocate back home in our old house with my buddy Ashton. When we got here I found work at Joe's bar as the bartender for Friday and Saturday nights. Everything was going great until she walked in Anna it was her I was sure of it her sent I never forgot it she always smelled like roses. She was watching me up until she went to the dance floor with Hannah her best friend since kindergarten they never left each other's sides not even after I was gone. I was always so glad Hannah was there for her I knew someone other than me was watching out but then I saw her fall my first instinct was to run up to her as see if she was okay but doing that I know would have freaked her out. I watched as both of them walked outside I know she figured out who I was when something freaked her out she had panic attacks and I knew when she remembered who I was it triggered one. After about 30 minutes they walked back in heading to the table to grab their things. I couldn't let her go without saying something, I followed them outside and hollered her name Anna! it quickly came out and sounded so good to say. I know it freaked her out when she stopped and didn't move until Hannah said her name. She slowly turned to me. Her questions quickly came but I couldn't answer by the time I could she was already in the car and gone. I stood there hoping things would change but no my heart was still shattered and I didn't know if I would ever be able to get her back. I walked in to the bar to finish my shift and go home, but I didn't find myself at home. I found myself at our old high school sitting on the bleachers thinking about the old days the fun days where nothing mattered but us. By the time I realized what time it was the sun was coming up and I was headed home to sleep for my next shift.
