“Oh, Jax, you're there!” I uttered loudly because I was taken aback by his presence. Before Jax walked to the middle of the staircase where we are, I whispered to Cathy, “Bestie, be quiet before Jax hears about that; we can talk about that after the meeting.” “All right, but why did you choose that particular day? Are you going to fulfill Jax' wish to watch a movie with you instead of visiting your dad at the cemetery? I thought it was already a tradition for you to spend your entire day at the cemetery on May 12th? But why are you going to exchange that thing just for Jax' wish? Is it that easy for you?” While we were still walking down the stairs, Cathy whispered in my ear. “Cathy,” I reminded her, “let's just talk about that later; Jax might hear us if we keep talking about that.”
