“Auggie, don’t!” I yelled after him as he gave chase to Nova. They left me alone in the dark, hearing its whispers all around me. “Asshole.” I muttered into the dark. “You could have at least left me with some fire!” I yelled into the dark like he could actually hear me, even though I am sure he couldn’t.
I get a feeling these woods do more than just keep you in the dark. I know these kinds of places can play tricks on your mind. The itch inside my head told me it was already happening to me.
