"You seem like you're in a good mood." Manny smiled at me as we walked past the waterfall that cascades down the front of the building.
"I guess." I shrugged my shoulders.
I was honestly feeling guilty for sitting with those as.sholes yesterday. I hated to think of them making fun of Arie and Auggie behind their backs. I've come to realize what a big target they have on their back in the shadow colony. I hadn't realized growing up, but shadow weavers are extremely driven by who's the strongest. I feel like it's worse than the wolves with their alphas.
