The trip begins

“There is nothing I can do about this.” Jack said and closed the hood of the car. “The engine is gone. We can’t fix this.” “Knocked engine in the middle of the road at this odd time with the possibilities of Dolbycato’s monster appearing from the sky?” Trisha lamented, standing with folded hands across her chest. “We should be celebrating leaving there alive.” “We are barely alive.’ “Come on, let’s move.’ The car stopped by the side of the lonely dark road bothered by trees on both sides. Jack checked his phone. “There is a small town over there. I see a hotel there and a good bar too. We can just hit the road.” “Like walk?” “No, I am waiting for my private pilot and private jet and private space…’ “Don’t be sarcastic.” “It is just a twenty-seven kilometer walk.” Jack said studying his map. “What? Walk twenty seven kilometers on foot?  I am not going to try that. We should wait and get a lift…’ “Okay.” He said. “Let us wait for Doe.’ “Stop it!” “Then let’s move. We may get a lift on the way.” “Why do I feel all this is happening because I met you?” She wondered. “I was just wondering if your call for me happens to be my call to doom.” “Lorenzo called you.” “On your behalf…’ “I did not even know you. It was not personal…” “It was not about me but my being. Now I met you and I am here.” They were walking. “I think I should make a call… s**t, I don’t even have a phone on me.’ “You don’t even have pants or shoes on. If anything pulls that towel off…phew!” He chuckled. “How do you expect me to walk like this for hours?” “I have been told that I look like a psychiatrist so they would understand…” “What? You mean I look crazy? Who ever told you that you look like a psychiatrist has scammed you. You don’t look anything close to a psychiatrist. Instead you look like an award winning patient.” “Damn!” Jack exclaimed. “That hurts. An award winning patient. That was savage. Okay, I think we are there. That is the hotel.” She frowned. They had only walked for five minutes when they sw the buildings. “You said it was twenty-seven kilometers away.” “I am very romantic and love surprise packages.”  “You are being a jerk.. ” They walked into the town. Some men stared at her, wondering why she wore no shoes and just clad in a towel. “Are we going to lodge in?” she asked. “Yes.’ “I- I do not have any money on me. Not even my card.” Jack raised his shoulders. “Don’t worry about that. I will take care of you. Your shelter, feeding, clothing, drinking..all on me.” “He acts like it is not the money he made from me.’ “Thank God you said made. I made the money and didn’t steal it. I did not beg for it. I earned it. Plus I made another from Dolbycato. I took some on me…for days like this.” “Whatever..’ “Hey, you got to take it cool on me. If you don’t need my money, I mean the money that I made, and then it is cool. You don’t have to sleep in a room I pay for or wear the clothes I buy. Keep rolling in your towel until you cross over Doe to get to your credit cards. We are here, at  the hotel and  this is that part we bid each other good bye. It was nice meeting you.” “I would not say that. I don’t know what is nice about meeting you.” “It was good while it lasted.’ “What lasted, you imbecile? Look, I never said I don’t need your money. I just- just wonder why you make a big deal out of it. You can sum up whatever amount you spend and I will pay you back later.’ “What if I refuse to spend it now? Now is here, later is yet to come. Okay, I know I am being smart because I was told to make good use of opportunities and I got a rare one. I had to use it…’ “I don’t get that.’ “I have never dreamt of having a billionaire entirely depending on me. This is a rare chance that may not occur again so I need to make history. Please come closer for some selfies. I need to make evidence…” “It is official, you are my bad luck.” “Be careful what you say to your host.” “Go to hell.” They lodged into one of the rooms.  Jack ordered for food and Mary realized how hungry she was. “I need new clothes.”  She said. “Can’t we get that in the morning? It is late right now and we have got work to do.’ “I can’t be wrapped up in a towel all night. “ “You don’t even need to wrap up yourself in anything, remember?” Jack said, bringing out his laptop. She eyed him. “The worse thing  Dolbycato and his gang have done to me is giving a riffraff like you the chance to disrespect me.” “What? I love justice and evenness so I will pull of my clothes and we are on the same page. Is that not fair enough?” He put on the laptop, plugged the power cable to a socket. He removed the drive and fixed it to the laptop. “The last thing I want to see is your nakedness, Jack. I get irritated easily.”   I’m the sun, around me revolves the nine planets, Jack rapped, I am the force that keep ‘em  in orbits and I spread the nets My unclad Is bad Making some billionaire horny with my hard You can’t resist I insist Punch not with the fist But with my romantic Come ride with me and see the other side of the Atlantic So chic I promise, Jack is strong and thick I make you weep Tears of ecstasy and deep All your pains I sweep Don’t flip Take this trip Baby here is my wine, come sip   She grimaced.   The dream boy She sang I can’t even have you as my toy Did you say you wanna make me horny? Come on, it seems your brain is thorny You must be a comedian cause you sound funny Jack You are the biggest jerk Pull up in your park You got your empties to pack Hotness you lack Your face needs a smack   “Whoa! You sing?” Jack exclaimed, still scrolling down the screen. He paused, focused on the screen and turned at her. “778- Transaction started seven years ago?” “I don’t know.” Jack rummaged through the e-mails, files, and documents. Trisha noticed the change in Jack. He had all his focus on the screen. There was something about him when he was open the system: he was a dab-hand, and the prowess he exhibited was enigmatic. She watched the screen but could bot understand the things he was doing. He spent a long period on the system, until she got tired and dozed off. She did not know for how long she slept when he tapped her. “Hey, I found something!” Trisha felt a bit embarrassed. ‘I was not sleeping.” She said. “I have been watching you.” “That is obvious.” “What did you find?” He found so many things but he would not tell her all about it. He tracked her father’s personal data. He was able to get into his e-mail, phone logs, contacts, SMS, and social media accounts. Mr. Bell’s personal life was out of this. He would not tell his daughter that he was cheating on his wife, or he had personal strippers who took care of his needs. “I also used the solution pack. The first e-mail was sent to Tripple-S  January 7, 2010. The content of the e-mail is to establish a coded account with them. The setting is very complex and your father was very smart. I was forced to check the calls within that period. I got something interesting…the idea of starting the company was propounded by Dolbycato. He played an important role but subsequent calls and texts show that your father was keeping many things from him. Dolbycato was fired before the coalition of the data. I was able to check the engineers, programmers. The OS is the most complicated I have ever seen and it is full of APPs I have never heard of. Most of the programs could had defined wave-lines except one: ATV. From the timeline, Bellz contacted an African called Mbozi. The nature of the deal is not clear but your father wired one hundred and twenty million dollars to him. From the documents. Mbozi was the middle-man.’ “Middleman between what?” “Between the two parties. In another document, highly secretive, Mbozi is referred to as The Connector. From the financial transactions, it was easy to find Mbozi. He is from a country called Zabiria. Mbozi was responsible for find the developers of ND, creating the most essential part of the phone which is Susperhumanity.” “What is Superhimanity?” “I don’t understand it. It talks about enhanced abilities of the phone. The phone can be used to serve as an errand boy, fixed in an image you wish. The image is made up laser radiations but looks so real to the eye. Superhumanity will used event coordinates to peek into the future so the user is protected. For instance, the phones tell a use five minutes before an accident occurs and the user averts it.  It is said to work on events path lines, obfuscated and muffled so events must be marked with coordinates and the line extends pass the present. I don’t know if any of these makes sense. Superhumanity is made to be man’s best companion, guide, guard and tutor.” “The talking phones.” Trisha said and regretted letting that out of her mouth at once. The talking phones! She thought it was a figure of speech. Her father kept the details from her. She had never seen him take anything more seriously like the 778- Transaction. “What about the talking phones?” Jack asked.
