Her Mother

Success returned to the Duke's residence, everyone was waiting in the main hall, when she arrived the atmosphere was icy just how she likes it. She greeted the Duke and sat down before a woman who was present said, "Look how disrespectful she is to her mother."

Success looked at the woman puzzled, ever since she came here she has not even set her eyes on her mother. The Duke answered, " How is she supposed to pay her respect to you when she doesn't even remember you."

Success looked at the woman from head to toe, the woman had waist length silky black hair and almond shaped blue eyes with red cheeks and pink lips. She looked like royalty, now she understood where here pretty genes came from. She immediately curtseyed and said, "Pardon me mother, I didn't remember you. I Leah, pay respect to the head wife."

The woman smiled in statisfaction and said, "I see the people I hired to teach you etiquette are doing a good job, come and sit near mother let me see you." Success sat closed to her and the woman ran her hand through her silky black hair and pinched her pinkish cheeks. "You always have to take care of your appearance, in fact I will be in charge of taking care of you."

Success nodded before the Duke said, "My dear, I need you to become the Empress." Success looked at her father and said, "But I don't want to become the mother of the nation." The Duke replied, "Our family is losing power and money so if you become the Empress you can help us." Success nodded and said, "I understand Father, Mother."
